Courtney Mazza is an American stage and screen actress, singer, dancer and producer who is best known for acting in the indie comedy film 'Pittsburgh' (2006), the video short 'Earano' (2007) and the TV series 'Love & Salsa' (2014). She has performed in several Broadway shows like 'A Chorus Line', 'Cry Baby' and 'The Little Mermaid'. Along with her then-boyfriend, Mexican-American television host and actor Mario Lopez, she starred on the VH1 reality television series, 'Mario Lopez: Saved by the Baby', in 2010, which chronicled the life of the couple as they prepared for the arrival of their baby Gia. She executive produced the TV special 'Mario & Courtney's Wedding Fiesta', which followed the couple as they prepared for their 'perfect wedding'. She has appeared as a guest on numerous television shows including 'Wendy: The Wendy Williams Show' (2012), 'Couples Therapy' (2013), 'Extra' (2013-16), 'The Meredith Vieira Show' (2015), 'Dinner at Tiffani's' (2015), 'Celebrity Family Feud' (2015), 'FabLife' (2016), and 'Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (2017).

Rise to Stardom
After graduating from college, Courtney Mazza was offered to do a Broadway Revue at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City, where she performed nightly for three months. Soon after relocating to New York, she landed a spot in the Britney Spears video, 'Me Against the Music'. For the next one year, she travelled to many cities across the country for the Broadway national tour of 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. She performed in the Broadway Revival of 'A Chorus Line' from February 2007 to August 2008, even though she left it for a few months after being selected as the original cast for the stage version of 'Cry Baby', which she did from September 2007 to June 2008. She also acted in 'The Little Mermaid' from August 2008 to March 2009. She previously appeared on the CBS soap 'As the World Turns', and after relocating to Los Angeles in 2009, she began working as a correspondent for 'Top Rank Boxing' on HBO.

Early Career
Courtney Mazza began her stage career with performances in numerous community and regional theatres for Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. At the age of six, she spent one summer auditioning and working in New York City. She did several print ads, commercials and musical revues in the Pittsburgh area, and also earned her AFTRA membership. She then became a member of the famous Civic Light Opera Mini-Stars, a children's performing group, and performed with them for the next ten years. While in middle school, she was part of an initiative to teach children about illiteracy and self esteem through music. During this time, she also performed as a guest soloist for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, headed by Marvin Hamlisch.
In high school, she earned nominations for her lead role in three plays and became the only person to be honored with the prestigious 'Best Actress' award at the 'Gene Kelly Awards For Excellence in High School Musical Theater' twice, in her freshman and senior years. She earned her Equity card at the age of 18 by performing as part of the ensemble for five summers and for her lead role in 'Fiddler on the Roof' at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. At the age of 20, while in university, she successfully auditioned to be a member of a four-person girl group, Audrey Blue. The event sponsor YM magazine did a photoshoot with the group and recorded the original song 'Stay to the World', but it was never released.
Personal Life
Courtney Mazza was born as Courtney Laine Mazza on October 13, 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School. She later enrolled into University of Arts in Philadelphia, from where she graduated in 2003.
She met Mario Lopez while she was working in the Broadway revival of 'A Chorus Line' and began dating him in the fall of 2008. At the 28, she gave birth to her first child with her then boyfriend Lopez, daughter Gia Francesca Lopez, on September 11, 2010. After about four years of dating, the couple got engaged over the new year weekend in 2011-2012. They finally got married in Mexico on December 1, 2012. She and Lopez have another child, son Dominic Lopez, who was born on September 9, 2013.
Philanthropy
Courtney Mazza and her husband Mario Lopez are involved in charitable initiatives as well. They had asked the guests at their wedding to donate for charity instead of bringing presents. A few of the various humanitarian programs and charity campaigns the couple has been a part of include Celebrity Fight Night Foundation, Broadway Barks, The Rescue Train, Feeding America, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Eva Longoria Foundation.
