Crystal Hefner Biography

Crystal Hefner was introduced to the entertainment industry by her father. However, it was during her college days that she stepped into the world of modelling. In 2008, while she was attending a party at the Playboy mansion, she met Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. Later that year she appeared on the Playboy magazine s ‘Co-Ed of the Week’. The following year she made appearances in a season of the reality show ‘The Girls Next Door’.

In 2010, she signed a singing contract with Organica Music Group, a division of the Universal Music Group. Her debut single, ‘Club Queen’ was released in 2011. The next year, she worked in collaboration with Australian designer, Vanessa Bryce, who is also the owner of Veve Glamor Swimwear, and designed a new range of swimwear. In 2014, she shared that she will be releasing a collection of intimates, athleisure and loungewear which was being co-designed with designer Rhonda Shear. The collection was to be available on her website. Crystal Hefner also identifies herself as an adventure and travel blogger and shares her travel experiences and pictures on her official website.

Crystal Hefner was born to British entertainers, Ray Harris and his wife Lee Lovitt, on 29 April 1986, in Arizona, USA. Post her birth, the family briefly shifted to West Bromwich in England. Later, they moved to San Diego, California where Crystal grew up along with her older sisters. She was introduced to the entertainment industry by her father who worked in the same field. After completing her school education at La Jolla High School, she graduated with majors in Psychology from the San Diego State University.

She met Playboy founder and publisher Hugh Hefner in 2008 at a party. The couple got engaged in 2010; however she initially called off the engagement in 2011, i.e. five days prior to the planned wedding date. Later that year, the couple reconciled and tied the knot on 31st December 2011. The marriage was solemnized in a private ceremony that was held at the Playboy mansion.

In March 2016, Crystal Hefner announced on Instagram that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease and toxic mold. The celebrity also shared that she is a victim of several health issues including Lyme disease due to her breast implants that she had got done in the year 2008. Other health problems that she faced were intolerance to food / beverages, joint pain, cognitive dysfunction, fatigue, hair loss, low levels of immunity, infections among several others. Though during the early days she used to consider herself a hypochondriac, the above stated symptoms started to hinder her from work and in performing daily routine. She was then diagnosed with Breast Implant Illness, a condition where silicone and saline break down and damage the person’s body. Later in 2016 she got her implants removed and also shared a public statement that she could almost feel an immediate relief in her health. Following this harrowing experience, she has been taking efforts to educate public on the ill effects of implants.
