D.R.A.M. (which is pronounced 'Dram' and stands for Does Real Ass Music) is the stage name of American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith, who is best known for his debut studio album, 'Big Baby DRAM', released in October 2016. He stormed into the music industry with the single 'Cha Cha' from his debut EP '#1Epic', released in March 2015, which peaked at No.1 on the 'Bubbling Under Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles' chart. It was followed by his debut mixtape 'Gahdamn!' in October that year. However, it is his hit single 'Broccoli' from 'Big Baby DRAM', featuring rapper Lil Yachty, which earned him international recognition and climbed up to No.5 on the 'US Billboard Hot 100'. The song also received nomination for the 'Best Rap/Sung Performance' at the '2017 Grammy Awards'. Riding on its success, he made an appearance on the 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' in October 2016 and performed 'Blessings (Reprise)' with Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla Sign, Anthony Hamilton and Raury. In March 2017, he featured on the single 'Andromeda' from 'Humanz', the fifth album of British band Gorillaz, which was nominated for the 'Best Dance Recording' at the '60th Annual Grammy Awards' in 2018. He is signed to Atlantic Records and Empire Distribution.
