Dan Cadan is an English director, writer, and producer. He is known for directing films such as 'The Devil’s Wedding' and 'Walk Like a Panther.' He has also written the screenplay for both the films. In the initial days of his career, Dan assisted director Guy Ritchie in a few of his projects. Dan later worked in a few projects that starred Madonna. This boosted his career. Dan has also directed 'Game of Thrones' actor Lena Headey, who is now his wife. Dan and Lena have been married since the summer of 2018 and have a daughter. Dan is Lena’s second husband. According to sources, Dan and Lena have been friends since childhood, but their relationship started sometime between 2011 and 2015. He supported Lena when she was sinking into depression because of the divorce from her first husband.

Birth, Education & Early Life
Dan was born on January 2, 1975, in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. After completing school, he worked with 'Laser Quest' in Huddersfield. While growing up, Dan watched films such as 'Jaws,' 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,' and 'An American Werewolf.' These scary films had a profound effect on him, although in a good way. Dan left Yorkshire and got a temporary job in London.

Career
Dan started his career as an assistant to director Guy Ritchie. English actor Jason Flemyng once called him and asked if he was interested to work as a runner in actor Vinnie Jones’s office. He was offered £30 a day for the job. Dan agreed and thus became a production assistant. He worked as a runner on the set of 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,' a 1998 British–American crime-comedy film directed by Guy. Dan again assisted the director in the production of the 2000 British crime-comedy film 'Snatch.' He was cast as ‘Dazzer’ in the 2002 British drama film 'Morvern Caller.'
Dan was the writer of the 2004 TV movie 'Dancestar USA 2004.' He has worked on a few projects with singer Madonna. He worked as the second unit director for the 2005 documentary 'I’m Going to Tell You a Secret,' starring Madonna. Dan was the camera operator for her concert film 'Madonna: Sticky & Sweet Tour.' He co-wrote the script of Madonna’s film 'Filth and Wisdom,' which released in 2005.
In 2009, Dan directed and wrote the short film 'The Devil’s Wedding,' which starred his wife, Lena Headey. The film was named the 'Best International Short Film' at the 2010 'Cleveland International Film Festival.' Dan also produced, directed, and wrote the screenplay of the 2018 British comedy 'Walk Like a Panther.'
Dan is now working on his future project, which is a dreadful story of three serial killers that operated in the downtown area of British Columbia in Canada. He has signed a contract with the London-based agency 'THE GRAFT.'
Personal Life
Dan was about 17 when he met Lena Headey. They have known each other since childhood but only as acquaintances. They became best friends and eventually started dating each other.
Lena was earlier married to musician Peter Loughran. They had a son, Wylie. Their marriage ended in a divorce. The divorce was a tough decision for Lena and had a markedly negative impact on her. Following this, Wylie’s custody battle made Lena sink into depression. Dan supported her through this tough phase. It was Dan who restored Lena’s faith in true love and marriage.
Lena again found love in Dan. She expressed her joy to her fans through a 'Twitter' post in July 2015. They got married in 2018. Dan and Lena have a daughter named Teddy, who was born in 2015. Nobody knew who Teddy’s father was until July 5, 2017, when an article published in 'The New York Times' revealed that Dan was the father.
Dan admires American filmmaker Wes Anderson. Two of his all-time favorite films are 'True Romance' and 'Midnight Run.' He once stated in an interview that given a chance, he would love to go for a drink with 'Academy Award'-winning director and writer Quentin Tarantino. Actors Stephen Graham and Lena Headey are Dan’s sources of inspiration.
