Daniel James Johnson was born on March 20, 1986, in Australia. He was fascinated by social media in his early teens, and wanted to establish a career out of social media platforms like YouTube.

On November 19, 2012, he created his first YouTube channel, where he started posting a video series titled ‘DoubleDragon Guides.’ He then posted a number of interesting questions, to which he came up with answers through his YouTube videos.

Thereafter, he gained prominence for his countdown videos, such as ‘10 Best Leveling Zones in World of Warcraft,’ ‘Top 10 Most Overhyped Video Games,’ ‘15 Greatest Easter Eggs in World of Warcraft,’ ‘Top 10 Lore Villians in World of Warcraft,’ ‘Top 10 Best NES Games Ever,’ etc.

On February 28, 2014, he created his second YouTube channel titled ‘Planet Dolan,’ which would go on to become his main channel. With more than 5.6 million subscribers and over 1,623 million views, ‘Planet Dolan’ is one of the fastest growing YouTube channels in Australia.

Some of the most viewed videos on this channel include ‘15 Strangest Holes On Earth,’ ‘20 Creepiest Places in the World,’ ‘20 Largest Animals of All Time,’ ‘15 Things You Didn't Know About Earth,’ ‘15 Most Dangerous Places on Earth,’ ‘20 Mysterious Photos That Should Not Exist,’ and ‘15 Real Life Human Superpowers.’

On August 29, 2015, he created another YouTube channel, which currently has more than 1.7 million subscribers. To make his channel more interesting, he came up with animated characters of his own and started answering some of the most bizarre questions through his animated characters. He has posted a number of video series including a series called ‘Dolan Life Mysteries’ on this channel. Some of the most viewed videos on his third channel include, ‘Itsy Bitsy Spider,’ ‘10 Dolan Life Mysteries About Food,’ and ‘10 Dolan Life Mysteries About Earth.’

Thanks to his bizarre and quirky videos, Daniel went on to become one of the most popular Australian YouTubers. With over 61000 followers, he is also popular on Twitter. He also has a second Twitter account.

He made his first public appearance at 2017 ‘Vidcon Australia.’ He used the convention as a platform to launch his range of merchandise. He currently owns an online store, which sells cool clothing and merchandise.

Daniel has also authored a book, which was published by ‘PanMacMillian Australia’ on November 28, 2017. The book can now be downloaded from the internet. In 2018, he released his debut video game titled ‘Dolan Kart.’
