Career
Dani Dyer appeared in the 2006 British romantic comedy film ‘The Other Half’, which marked her first appearance in the show business. The film was a typical Marlowe Fawcett production. Dani appeared as an English football fan in the movie, which also featured her father Danny Dyer in the lead role. She later appeared in the 2009 British slapstick comedy horror splatter film ‘Doghouse’. The film, directed by Jake West, starred Noel Clarke, Stephen Graham, and Danny Dyer. This was the second film in which Dani appeared alongside her father. She played the role of a ballerina.
In 2012, Dyer appeared as herself in ‘Run for Your Wife’, a film based on the theatre farce of the same title. This was yet another film where she shared the screen alongside her father. The film also had Sarah Harding, Denise van Outen, Neil Morrissey, Lionel Blair, and Christopher Biggins among other actors. She played the character, ‘Lauren’, in the 2014 British crime drama film ‘We Still Kill the Old Way’, directed by Sacha Bennett. The film had Ian Ogilvy, Alison Doody, Christopher Ellison, Danny-Boy Hatchard, Lysette Anthony, and James Cosmo in its cast. The film didn’t receive good reviews from the critics, but it was nonetheless one of Dyer’s biggest roles.
Dani Dyer appeared as ‘Joss Blake’ in the 2015 action film ‘Age of Kill’. The Simon Cluett directorial venture also starred Martin Kemp, Patrick Bergin, Bruce Payne, Dexter Fletcher, April Pearson, and Nick Moran. This film too received a lot of bad reviews but just like her previous one, it too gave Dyer a chance to work with several popular and well-known actors. Dyer was due to appear in the British reality television show ‘Survival of the Fittest’; however, an accident on the set ended her journey prematurely. While shooting her first challenge on the show, Dyer fell down a waterslide headfirst, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. Unfortunately, she couldn’t continue and had to leave the show.
In June 2018, the fourth season of the British dating reality television show ‘Love Island’ began airing on ITV2. Dyer teamed up with Jack Fincham, a stationery sales manager from Kent, to win the show, beating fellow contestants Laura Anderson and Paul Knops. They won the grand prize of £50,000.
