Dasha Taran Bio

Dasha Taran became active on Instagram in 2017 and often posted fashionable pictures and videos of herself. A talented painter, she also shared her hand-painted manga anime characters on the platform. She gained popularity on Instagram after one of her photos was shared by Chi Chill with his fan base, the “chillers”. While she had already gathered a sizeable 15k-strong following on the platform, it soared rapidly within weeks after gaining traction from chillers, for which she later thanked the rapper and mentioned that she had been to most of his shows.

By early 2018, she had over 200k followers and was featured in an article on the Taiwanese GQ website, which mentioned her as “Russian Cecilia Cheung”. She later made into TC Candler’s list of “100 Most Beautiful Faces in the World” in 2018. Also that year, she started uploading beauty and makeup videos on YouTube and occasionally vlogged about her trips to Korea and Hong Kong. Dasha, a fan of K-pop music, fell in love with South Korea when she visited the country in 2018 and later returned there in May 2019 after she signed a deal with the Korean agency Rainmakers to appear as the campaign model for “Vieu”, a fashion eyewear brand of Lotte Department Store. She soon started documenting her life as a model in Seoul through vlogs on YouTube and pictures on Instagram. By this time, she was also actively sharing funny videos on TikTok and had earned a couple hundred thousand fans on her profile.

Dasha Taran likes to write poems and romantic stories and also considers herself “really good at it”. She would like to release a book someday. She can speak in several languages, including her mother tongue Russian, English and Korean, and would like to learn Spanish someday. She also learned Japanese for one year in school and had started learning Chinese, but gave up after a while. She is currently learning to be more fluent in English and Korean. She has taken personality tests a couple times and was identified as ENTP-A (Assertive Debater).
