Before Birth

Deidra’s mother, Loni, has been married four times. She first married a real-estate broker named Bruce Hasselberg in 1964. They divorced in 1966. Loni was just out of high school when she married Bruce. Bruce was hopelessly in love with Loni and had thus proposed to her on their first date. Loni conceived soon after their marriage. However, various problems sprouted in their lives and created issues in their marriage.

Birth & Early Life

Deidra was born Deidra Kaye Hasselberg, in 1965, in the US. Shortly after her birth, her parents divorced. Loni and Bruce were too young to be married. Hence, their rushed marriage, which was most likely the result of an immature decision, ultimately resulted in a divorce.

Deidra experienced several disturbances while growing up. Loni raised Deidra single-handedly and simultaneously attended the 'University of Minnesota.' Loni worked as a teacher to support her expenses.

Loni’s second marriage, to actor Ross Bickell, also resulted in a divorce. She married Ross in 1973 and divorced him in 1981. She then married her co-star, the late Burt Reynolds, in 1988. The abusive marriage ended in 1993. Deidra has a half-brother named Quinton Anderson Reynolds, who was adopted by Loni and Burt. On May 17, 2008, Loni got married for the fourth time, to Bob Flick, a founding member of the folk band 'The Brothers Four.'

Career

Deidra has never discussed her career in the media. However, she has made a couple of TV appearances. In 1999, Deidra was seen in an episode of 'Intimate Portrait,' a biographical TV series aired on 'Lifetime.' Following this, in 2014, she appeared in an episode of ‘The Doctors,' an American syndicated talk show. She also appeared in the uncredited role of ‘Jayne Marie Mansfield’ in the 1980 TV movie 'The Jayne Mansfield Story.'

Personal Life

Deidra is a private person and has always stayed away from the limelight. Sources reveal that she is married to actor Chris Hoffman. They dated for some time before walking the aisle. Deidra and Chris have two daughters: McKenzie Hoffman and Megan Hoffman.

Deidra was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2009. She underwent treatment immediately after the diagnosis. However, the disease recurred several times. Loni has supported Deidra throughout her battle with multiple sclerosis. Loni had fallen apart after hearing the news. She accompanied Deidra to every treatment session and motivated her throughout her struggle.
