Dillon Rupp Biography

Dillon Rupp was born on March 26, 1997, in Indiana, United States of America. He attended ‘Princeton Community High School’ in Indiana. Dillon was interested in music right from the beginning. During his junior high school days, he started working with various instruments, software, and apps, trying to create his own music. In one of his interviews, he revealed that he used to make music on a MacBook with the help of the software ‘GarageBand’ in his grandfather’s guest bedroom. He then started making music CDs and distributed them to his schoolmates. In 2014, he joined hands with his schoolmate Taylor Caniff and released his first single, ‘Buckwild.’ The duo called themselves ‘2Virgins’ and they even got to perform the song live at the ‘Meet and Greet Convention’ (MAGCON) that took place in New Jersey. They were then invited to the social media convention, ‘the Sunsation Tour,’ which increased their popularity.

After the massive success of his debut single, Dillon Rupp relocated to Los Angeles, California. At the age of 17, Dillon flew down to Los Angeles with the help of his former manager. The idea behind moving to Los Angeles was to make music by joining hands with other young hip hop artists. In 2015, he released another single titled ‘Where Art Thou,’ which featured artists like Skate and Sammy Wilk. In the same year, he dropped few other singles titled ‘Party of the Year’ and ‘Indiana.’ In 2016, he came up with a rather controversial single titled ‘Gorgeous,’ which earned notoriety for its lyrics. DJ Rupp is currently working on a couple of singles and hopes to release albums in the future.

Apart from Instagram and Twitter, where he has thousands of followers, Dillon is also popular on SoundCloud and Spotify, where he uploads his songs. He is also active on YouNow, where he has more than 100,000 fans. As a social media star, Dillon Rupp has often collaborated with other internet personalities, including Nash Grier, Alec Bailey, and Tez. In 2016, Nash Grier announced that a group of internet stars would join him on a world tour called ‘The Wave Tour.’ Dillon Rupp, who was part of the tour, performed live at Santiago, Chile on the first night of the tour in May 2016.
