Emily Meade is an American actress who has appeared in numerous popular films and TV shows till date. Her most notable projects on the big screen include ‘My Soul to Take’, ‘Twelve’, and ‘That Awkward Moment’. On television, she currently stars in HBO’s ‘The Deuce’ (2017–present). Born in New York City, Meade grew up loving drama movies and 3D films. Her love for acting and dancing led her to study at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. In 2004, after being discovered by a casting director, she entered the show business, eventually making her debut with the 2006 film ‘The House Is Burning’. Since then, Meade has acted in both small and big screen projects. Blessed with a melodious voice, she is also a talented singer and has won the Zecchino d'Argento prize. A private person behind the screen, Meade has kept her personal life under wraps. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling with her friends and partying in clubs.

Career
Emily Meade made her acting debut in 2006 when she appeared in the German film 'The House Is Burning'. Two years later, she made a guest appearance in 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'. In 2010, she starred in the American-French action drama teen flick 'Twelve', a story of violence, drug addiction, and sex among rich teenagers. That year, the actress also featured in two episodes of the series ‘Boardwalk Empire’. This was followed by her roles in the films 'Trespass' and 'Young Adult', both of which were released in 2011. While the former flopped at the box office, the latter received generally positive reviews from the critics.
In 2012, Meade played Samantha in the independent comedy flick 'Sleepwalk with Me' that also starred Mike Birbiglia, Carol Kane, and Lauren Ambrose. That year, she also had a role in 'Thanks for Sharing', a comedy-drama movie directed by Stuart Blumberg. Her projects for 2013 included the television film ‘Trooper’, the drama movie ‘Bluebird’, and the independent Christian film ‘Gimme Shelter’. A year later, the actress was cast in a lead role in the supernatural mystery drama television series ‘The Leftovers’. Also in 2014, she starred in the romantic comedy drama movie ‘That Awkward Moment’. The film, Tom Gormican’s directional debut, was commercially successful and earned $40.5 million against its $8 million budget.
The year 2015 saw Meade in the comedy flick ‘Me Him Her’. A year later, she featured in an episode of ‘Broad City’ as well as in the films ‘Money Monster’ and ‘Nerve’. Then in 2017, she joined the cast of ‘The Deuce’ as Lori Madison. The following year, the actress played the role of Stacy Willingham in ‘Trial by Fire’, a biographical drama flick based on David Grann's 2009 article "Trial by Fire" that was featured in ‘The New Yorker.’
