Eric Millegan is an American actor, who is mostly known for his role in the TV series ‘Bones’. Throughout his early career, he appeared in many stage productions such as the Broadway revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. He made his on-screen debut in 2001 with a guest role in an episode of the legal drama series ‘100 Centre Street’. He became known for playing Dr Zack Addy, one of the main characters in the crime procedural series ‘Bones’. The series has earned mostly positive reviews over the years, and has also been nominated for two Emmy Awards. It also won several awards and nominations.

Career
Eric Millegan appeared in several stage productions throughout the 1990s. He was seen in the adaptation of the cult film ‘Harold and Maude’, as well as the Broadway revival of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’. Millegan made his on-screen debut in 2001 with a guest role in an episode of ‘100 Centre Street’, an American legal drama series. The following year, he made his film debut with a supporting role in the movie ‘OnLine’. Directed by Jed Weintrob, the film revolves around two friends and roommates, who start an adult internet site. It received mixed reviews. Millegan played guest roles in two other TV shows ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’, and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
In 2006, he was seen in the psychological thriller film ‘The Phobic’. From 2005, he began appearing in the crime procedural series ‘Bones’, in one of the main roles. The series aired for twelve seasons between 2005 and 2017. It was loosely based on the life and novels of Kathy Reichs, a forensic anthropologist, who was also a producer of the series. Though the first episode generally met mixed reviews, rest of the series has earned mostly positive reviews from critics. The series was also nominated for two Emmy Awards. It earned a few other awards and nominations as well.
The story revolved around FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth and forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance Brennan, who works at the Jeffersonian Institute Medico Legal Lab, which collaborates with the FBI to solve murder cases. Millegan played one of the main characters Dr Zack Addy. He appeared in the first season as a graduate and an intern, and in season two, he joins the forensic team as a full professional.
Millegan was also seen in the 2014 romantic comedy film ‘Lady Peacock’.

Eric Millegan was born on 25 August 1974, in Hackettstown, New Jersey, to Lloyd and Karen Millegan. He has five siblings. He studied at Springfield High School. Late,r he also attended the Interlochen Arts Camp at the Interlochen Center for the Arts to study acting. He next studied at the University of Michigan from where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
He is known to be an avid fan of basketball.
Millegan is openly homosexual. He got married in June 2012 to his partner Charles Michel in New York City.
In 2010, Eric Millegan stated that he suffers from bipolar disorder.
