Erik Stocklin’s career began in 2010, with a role in the TV series ‘First Day’. The next year, he had a guest role in the popular supernatural drama TV series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. The series was about a teenage girl, who after losing both her parents in a car accident, falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire. It earned mixed reviews though it was very popular with the audiences.

He made his film debut with a role in the film ‘Donner Pass’ in 2011. It was a horror movie based on a true incident in which a group of explorers get stuck in a mountain pass in winter and are forced to resort to cannibalism in order to save themselves from starving.

In 2012, he had a supporting role in the romantic comedy film ‘Nesting’. The movie was about a couple in their 30s trying to rekindle their relationship. The next year, he appeared in the comedy drama film ‘Grey Sheep,’ which was about two half-brothers who have never met. They are brought together by their father’s death, which sets them on an adventure that changes their lives. Stocklin played a main role in the mystery drama series ‘Mistresses’. It was met with mostly negative reviews from critics, and was eventually cancelled after four seasons.

From 2014 to 2015, he was seen in a recurring role in the crime drama series ‘Stalker’. He played the role of Perry Whitley, who stalks a woman named Beth Davis. The show was met with negative reviews. Over the years, he has also played guest roles in TV shows, such as ‘Major Crimes’ (2015), ‘Criminal Minds’ (2016) and ‘Girlboss’ (2017).

In 2016, he began playing an important role in the comedy series, ‘Haters Back Off,’ which was released on Netflix. It was about a fictional character, Miranda Sings, a self-absorbed and overconfident young performer, who tries to earn fame on YouTube. The series was met with mostly mixed reviews.

In 2018, he appeared in the science fiction movie ‘High Voltage’ (originally titled ‘Hollow Body’). The film is about a singer, who is killed by a lightning strike, only to be resurrected with special electric abilities.
