Erin Gilfoy earned her first bite of fame when she joined the now-defunct app, Vine, early in 2015. She had over 50,000 followers on her Vine account and many of her videos were constantly looped and shared by users. Her most famous vine videos was ‘truth or dare w/ Carly Incontro'’ in April 2015, which received an astonishing two million loops within the year of its upload. However, despite a successful stint, Vine was shut down by its partner company. Before Vine closed its doors, Erin along with her best friend and future collaborator Carly Incontro started the YouTube channel ‘Carly and Erin’, where they initially focused on the ‘Vining and Dining’ series. In this series, they interviewed popular Vine stars while driving around the city. Despite its amateur outlook, the series became popular as many Vine fans could find out more about their favorite celebrities. Some of the popular Vine personalities who appeared on this include Brandon Calvillo, David Dobrik, Harmony Smith, and MielMonster.

The duo decided to continue the channel even after Vine closed down. They focused on creating fun vlogs that people could relate to and started posting more frequently. While they began posting videos of popular YouTube challenges, reactions, and other pranks, they eventually branched out to other, more funny videos. They eventually started collaborating with other social media influencers and often featured them. Despite a slow start, the channel currently has over 900,000 followers and 115 million views. Their latest video where they sat down and criticized the MET Gala outfit titled ‘ROASTING MET GALA OUTFITS!!’ touched over one million views within a week of its posting. Other popular videos from the duo’s channel include ‘TELLING THE VLOG SQUAD SHES PREGNANT!!’ with 2 million views, ‘VLOG SQUAD GIRLS ANSWER RELATIONSHIP QUESTIONS!!’ with 2 million views, and ‘DAVIDS FIRST TIME AT STARBUCKS!!’ with over 2 million views. Popularly known as the ‘Vlog Squad’, Carly and Erin continue to upload videos regularly and have collaborated as social media influencers with several brands. They are also very interactive with their fans and often exchange mails through their P. O. address. They also sell their merchandise on their website.

Apart from the collaborative channel, Erin also has her own YouTube channel where she frequently posts about her life. Here, she has over 87,000 subscribers and 2 million views. Her most popular videos include ‘surprising fiancé with super bowl tickets!’ with 138,000 plus views and ‘WE'RE MOVING IN TOGETHER!!’ with 93,000 plus views. Not restricting herself to YouTube and Vine, Erin also displays her funny and quirky side on Instagram, where she has over 393K followers. Her posts often include images of her travels, her pets, and friends. She is also active on Twitter.

Erin Gilfoy was born on June 30, 1991 in Massachusetts, U.S.A. She has been in a relationship with T. J. Petracca, who is a digital strategist in the music industry. He is also the co-founder of the creative agency Ride or Cry. The couple recently got engaged to each other in October 2018, and a video of the proposal was shared on Erin’s personal YouTube channel titled ‘I GOT ENGAGED!! (the Proposal)’. The couple does not shy away from displaying their affection all over social media, and they’re often seen in each other’s Instagram posts as well. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her fiancé and her pet cat, Sheila.
