Ethan Aguilar Bio

Ethan Aguilar has been appearing on his family YouTube channel, The Aguilars, ever since the family started uploading videos in June 2017. While he was only seen in a family picture at the end of the first video, he has regularly appeared with his siblings and parents in most videos on the channel. He was also the focus of several videos such as his birthday vlogs and the videos about his interest in basketball or boxing. However, he was initially camera shy and was evidently quieter than his siblings, which is why his parents made the challenge video Who Knows Ethan Better??? Mom Vs Dad on October 31, 2021 to put the spotlight on him.

Ethan Aguilar has his eponymous YouTube channel since July 2016, but started posting on it shortly before turning thirteen. His first video on his personal channel, titled Daddy's Back!!!, was a Q&A video posted on April 19, 2019 for which his mother helped him from behind the camera. In the following months, he made more videos featuring his father, his sister Nikki, and several videos featuring his friends. While most videos were shot indoors, in one video titled Messing Around In Public... he and his friends could be seen pranking, annoying and interviewing people in the streets. Even though he has uploaded only about a dozen videos so far, he is active on the channel and is interested in pursuing YouTube.

Ethan Aguilar was born on May 1, 2006 in the United States to Candy and Nestor Aguilar. He is the third child and the first boy among his siblings, but the first biological child of his parents as they mentioned in a Q&A video from July 2018 that they first met about 14 years ago when Candy’s two daughters were babies. Incidentally, his two older siblings, Nicole a.k.a. Nikki (b. July 13, 2002) and Melody (b. May 7, 2004), share the surname Valadez. His parents later welcomed a second son named Sebastian on June 2, 2015, but he suffered from cancer and passed away at the age of two on November 3, 2017.

In May 2020, his parents revealed through a video on the family channel that Candy had suffered a miscarriage at five weeks. They later welcomed a baby girl named Angelique in March 2021. Ethan, who plays basketball for his school team, was first selected in January 2020 after trying for two years. Interestingly, soccer was the first sport he got into, and he has also played baseball and American football occasionally. One of his hobbies is boxing. He is scheduled to graduate from school in 2024. He has a scar on his right eyebrow which is from an accident he had as a child after falling on broken glass. The family often uses Spanish words and phrases in their videos. They live in Glendale, Arizona, but both his parents are from California, where they first met.

Ethan Aguilar’s mother Candy, who worked as a makeup artist before, had quit her job in 2016 to take care of her infant son Sebastian. She was also interested in making YouTube videos about beauty and makeup in her spare time, which is how the family channel originally started. However, Sebastian often suffered from fevers and other illnesses intermittently, and was finally diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2017. He subsequently went through three rounds of chemotherapy treatment, but after his cancer started growing, the doctors advised stem cell transplant. Around this period the family started making videos to document his journey and the first video was uploaded in June that year when Sebastian underwent the transplant with his father as the donor. Unfortunately, the child passed away months later, following which the parents decided to keep his memory alive by hosting various health-related charitable events. They also regularly celebrate his birthdays and include his picture in family celebrations.
