Ethan Karpathy began singing at a very young age. He first appeared on the first season of the Australian edition of ‘The Voice Kids’. However, he was eliminated in the 8th episode, following the sing-offs. After this, he went on to form a boy band called In Stereo with Jakob Delgado and Chris Lanzon. The band then began started releasing their covers on their YouTube channel.

In 2015, they auditioned for ’X Factor Australia’ but unfortunately couldn’t make up to the finals. Then in 2016, the band signed with Warner Music Australia. The same year, they released their debut Extended Play (EP) titled ‘She's Rock n Roll’. During that year, In Stereo also participated in a tour called Honest Tour. Currently, Karpathy and his band mates are busy releasing their covers on their YouTube channel. They also perform on stage at multiple events and occasions.

Ethan Karpathy is also devoting some of his spare time to his YouTube career. Although he hasn’t posted much on his self-titled channel, his collaborative channel 'instereo' has a lot for the audience to see. The channel, which was created on June 5, 2015, has over 27k subscribers and about 1.6 million views as of now (April 2018). The most popular video on this channel is their cover of “Get Stupid" by Aston Merrygold. The video, which was posted in September 2015, has garnered over 200k views.
