Francesca Gregorini is an Italian-American director and writer best recognized for directing the films ‘Tanner Hall’ and ‘The Truth About Emanuel’. As a writer, she has contributed to songs of the minor film ‘See Jane Run’ in which she even had a small acting role. Gregorini had also served as a musician for the CD ‘Sequel’ in which played guitar and bass. A Brown University graduate, she is known for her passionate, worldly and unique style of filmmaking. Her character-driven movies are intuitive and stylistically bold and darkly humorous, with undertones of the surreal. Coming to the artiste’s achievements, one of the independent films she wrote became the official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival of 2009. In addition, her flick ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ was chosen for the US dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival of 2013. On a personal level, Gregorini is a lesbian and has dated a handful of women till date.
