Frank Grillo Biography

Frank Grillo is an Italian American actor popularly known for portraying macho roles in movies like ‘Warrior’ and ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. He has also featured in some important character roles in films like ‘The Grey’, and ‘End of Watch’. Beginning his career by appearing in commercials, he ventured into films and played quite a few minor roles before clinching his first major role in 2014 when he played the character of ‘Sergeant Leo Barnes’ in the action film ‘The Purge: Anarchy’. Later he appeared in the Chinese action film ‘Wolf Warrior 2’ which became the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film in the history of cinema. Frank Grillo has also appeared in many television series after making his television debut in ‘Silk Stalkings’, appearing in the episode ‘Ladies Night Out’. He gained much prominence for his performances in series like ‘For the People’, ‘The Shield’, ‘Prison Break’, ‘Blind Justice’ and ‘The Kill Point’. Between 2014 and 2017, he appeared in DirecTV drama series ‘Kingdom’ as ‘Alvey Kulina.’ He has worked in over 40 films and more recently he was signed by Marvel Cinematic Universe for the ‘Captain America’ franchise. He played the role of Brock Rumlow in the two segments of the series in 2014 and 2016.
