Garrett Overboe was born on February 27, 2001, in Georgia, United States of America.

He grew up with his brother, Marshall Overboe, who is 2 years younger than him. Though both Garrett and Marshall are rising TikTok stars, they have not revealed much about their family.

Both the brothers played basketball in high school. Garrett attended the Sonoraville High School in Calhoun, Georgia. He was part of the Georgia Grizzlies, the men's basketball team of his high school.

Garrett once said that he had dreamed of playing basketball since elementary school. He graduated high school in 2019.

Garrett Overboe began his social-media career through TikTok. He was inspired by his younger brother, Marshall, to start a TikTok channel. Marshall had created his TikTok account in the middle of January 2019, as he had nothing to do and was getting bored. Soon, Garrett, too, began posting videos on his own channel. He named his TikTok account, goverboe, inspired by his brother’s TikTok account, moverboe. Garrett’s dance, lip-sync, and point-of-view (POV) videos became a hit with his viewers.

Garrett’s TikTok channel has gained over 53 million likes and more than 1.5 million fans to date. Garrett’s first TikTok video was posted in February 2020. In May 2020, he uploaded a TikTok video set to Justin Bieber’s song Boyfriend.

Garrett is also on Instagram. His account on the platform, goverboe, has gained over 177 thousand followers. On May 13, 2020, he posted a photo of himself with his mother on Instagram. The oldest post on his Instagram account is dated January 21, 2020. He is also on Snapchat as garrett_overboe. Marshall, too, has been featured in Garrett’s Instagram posts.

Garrett launched his self-titled YouTube channel, Garrett Overboe, on July 9, 2020. His account has gained over 20.2 thousand subscribers. His first video on the channel, First Video. Q&A., was posted on July 21, 2020. The video featured him and Marshall answering their fans’ questions. It has received over 66 thousand views and more than 7.5 thousand likes to date.

His Twitter account, garrettoverboe, was launched in May 2020. His Twitter bio describes him as a “wannabe Rockstar.” The account has earned over 4.4 thousand followers.

In a YouTube Q&A video, Garrett Overboe stated that he and his brother, Marshall, are the best of friends and never argue. However, he also stated that Marshall has more friends than him. Marshall claimed in the video that the brothers had healthy competition between them, as they did everything together, such as playing basketball.

Garrett most listens to pop-rock and alternative rock music. Come & Go by Juice WRLD is one of his favorite songs.

When asked about his future plans regarding his YouTube channel, Garrett said that he plans to make music and post his creations on his channel. He also said that he wishes to make videos with Marshall. He mentioned he might also launch a second channel on the platform and that he wishes to post reaction videos and Q&A videos.
