In early 2019, he began collaborating with his girlfriend, Piper Rockelle, for creating challenges, tags, pranks and general couple vlogs. On February 14, 2019, Magnus shared "Crushin ft. Piper Rockelle | Gavin Magnus (Official Video)". This music video garnered millions of views within a week of its release and has accumulated over 6 million views as of May 2019.

She coordinates with him to manage his social media accounts. Magnus has two elder brothers, Justin and Jakob. He has also featured his grandmother on his channel; she appeared in a video titled “Grandma Reacts to My Funniest Texts ‘Crush says I Love You Baby’”.

Magnus has a girlfriend named Piper Rockelle who is also a YouTuber and Instagram personality. With over two million subscribers on her self-titled channel, she shares challenges, makeup tutorials, fashion hauls, dancing videos, DIYs and everyday vlogs.
