Gamer and YouTuber Ryan, better known as GoodTimesWithScar, is from Washington. He was part of his high school swimming team and has also participated in the 2005 state championships. In his high school freshman year, he emerged as one of the Top 5 in his state in the 500m freestyle category.

He was 16 when he was diagnosed with an unknown neuromuscular disease. His condition rendered him wheelchair-bound, with weak muscles and in constant need of oxygen.

GoodTimesWithScar launched his primary YouTube channel in February 2011. His initial videos were on Call of Duty, and then he switched to Minecraft videos.

He is now mostly known for his building tutorials and clips on the Minecraft series Hermitcraft. His tutorials focus on building houses in various styles, such as craftsman, traditional, rustic, and modern art styles. He also uses his talent in landscape photography and painting to infuse a realistic streak to his Minecraft builds.

Apart from being a prominent disability activist in the gaming world, he is also a partnered Twitch streamer. He has also played with fellow YouTubers such as Grian, Smallishbeans, Cubfan135, and Mumbo Jumbo.

Apart from Minecraft, he has played games such as Planet Coaster, The Forest, Prison Architect, and Among Us. He is friends with fellow gamers and YouTubers such as Iskall and xisumavoid.

He has 2 more YouTube channels, GoodClipsWithScar and GoodVodsWithScar. Both have amassed thousands of subscribers.

He is equally popular on Instagram. His account on the platform, goodtimeswithscar, has fetched him thousands of followers.

Scar owns a pet cat named Jellie. He has featured Jellie in a lot of his Scarland content. Jellie was the winner of the Minecon 2019 Minecraft Cat Contest. She also appears in Scar’s Instagram content. On June 13, 2020 Scar stated he was on a hiatus for a while because of his illness.

A huge fan of Disney, he often includes theme park designs in his game builds, such as in Scarland Rollercoaster. He also boasts of a collection of Disney memorabilia.
