Since Hannah Kaye Balanay loves dancing, she began by posting her dance covers on Musical.ly. She also joined the dance trends on the platform. Later, she transitioned to Tik Tok and saw her career as a social media content creator progress rapidly in 2019. Her dance trend videos wearing bucket hats gained tremendous popularity and garnered millions of views.

Amongst her popular videos is the one where she teaches how to do a body wave and another where she dances to R&B singer Maleek Berry's song Kontrol. In early 2020, her dance cover of Dua Lipa’s pop song Don’t Start Now went viral and became one of the top dance challenges on the platform. It inspired popular social media stars likes Charli d’Amelio and Addison Rae to take up the challenge. Additionally, it also caught the attention of billion dollars gaming company Epic Games which created a new dancing avatar known as an emote in the Fortnite game. It includes both Dua Lipa’s song and Hannah’s dance steps. Her TikTok account @thexhan has a massive fan following of over 17.4 million.

Her dancing skills have got her featured on the BTS’s Idol Ft. Nicki Minaj Music Video too. Additionally, after moving to Perth, she joined the Diversity Station dance performance crew and together with its other members, performs on K-Pop covers that are shot in public places. The videos of the dances are available on the Diversity Station You Tube channel.

Hannah Kaye Balanay, herself has a You Tube channel, which she launched in February 2014. However, the oldest video here is Map Of The Soul: Persona Unboxing!! Ft. Ate which was uploaded in May 2019. Since then, she has uploaded vlogs, TikTok compilation videos as well as shorts on her channel Thexhan and gained over 58.2K subscribers.

Hannah Kaye Balanay was born on 12 March 2001 in Philippines. While she was still very young, her family including her parents and siblings, moved to Christmas Island in Australia. It was here that she grew up. Dancing was her passion from the very beginning and she got more inspired after watching K-pop and BTS. Together with her family, she is currently residing in Perth, Australia.
