Heather Hunter is an American former pornographic actor who has been inducted into the prestigious AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame. Born in The Bronx, she ran away from home at 16 and started her career as a nightclub staff. She later began working as a model for porn magazines and soon launched a career in adult films. She was the first African American woman to grab a contract with Vivid Entertainment, at a time when the American porn industry avoided hiring Black women. In 1996, she was featured in the music video of How Do U Want It by Tupac Shakur, along with Nina Hartley and Angel Kelly. In 2003, she launched her animated series Bulletproof Diva on UBO. The series featured her someone who saves the world from Hell dwellers. The same year, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
Hunter has also appeared in minor roles in several mainstream or non-porn films. In 2004, she appeared with Ginger Lynn in Hustler’s video series Can You Be A Pornstar? However, their roles did not involve sex. Hunter has also appeared in movies such as He Got Game and American Gangster.
