Henry Simmons is an American actor best known for portraying the character of detective Baldwin Jones in ABC’s police drama series ‘NYPD Blue’ and of Agent Alphonso MacKenzie in the same channel’s drama ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ He is also famous for playing Issac Wright in the legal drama ‘Shark’. The actor has guest-starred in a number of TV shows, such as 'Saturday Night Live', 'New York Undercover', 'The Cleaner', 'Raising the Bar', 'Transparent' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', to name a few. He has acted in a number of movies as well; these include 'Are We There Yet?', 'Madea's Family Reunion', 'The Insurgents', ‘South of Pico’, 'World's Greatest Dad' and 'No Good Deed'. Coming to Simmons’ honors and awards, he was once honored with the ‘Grand Jury Award’ for the Best Actor at American Black Film Festival for his performance in the flick ‘South of Pico’.
