Hila Klein Bio

Hila Hakmon was born on December 12, 1987, in Holon, Israel, into a Sephardic Jewish family to a Turkish-Jewish mother and a Libyan-Jewish father. After completing her high school studies, Hila joined as a soldier in the ‘Israel Defense Forces’ as part of her two-year mandatory military service. Around this time, she met Ethan Klein while visiting the popular ‘Holocaust Museum.’ Ethan, who was born in California, United States, was on his birthright trip to Israel when he met Hila. After completing her mandatory military service, Hila went to ‘Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art’ in Ramat Gan, Israel. However, she dropped out of college in order to focus on her YouTube career.

On April 29, 2011, Hila Klein created her first YouTube channel, ‘h3h3Productions,’ along with her then boyfriend, Ethan. Many of the channel’s initial videos were created to serve as Hila’s projects. The channel quickly gained popularity because of its comedy videos and received its big breakthrough in 2013, when a video titled ‘warm it up exe that's a 10’ went viral. On July 3, 2013, Hila and Ethan came up with their second YouTube channel, which too, became popular among the viewers. The second channel, ‘Ethan and Hila,’ currently has over 2.1 million subscribers. Some of the most viewed videos on this channel are ‘How to Traumatize Your Children Prank,’ ‘Another Slamming Bradberry Classic,’ ‘When the Cringe is Too Strong,’ and ‘Fat Shamed at the Water Park.’ On April 7, 2017, the couple came up with their podcast channel ‘H3 Podcast,’ which has accumulated over 1.8 million subscribers so far. Hila Klein is popular on various other social media platforms as well. Her Twitter account, which she uses to promote her business, has gathered over 812,000 followers. Her Instagram account, where she posts pictures pertaining to her personal life, has collected more than 780,000 followers.

Hila Klein is also a television artist, best known for her works as a producer, cinematographer, property master, editor, writer, and host. In 2013, she made her television debut as a producer, editor, and cinematographer for her comedy TV series. In 2015, she worked in the art department for a TV series titled ‘JonTron’ and also went on to produce four episodes of the series. In 2016, she started hosting ‘H3 Podcast’ along with her husband Ethan. She has also made a couple of guest appearances on shows like ‘Good Mythical Morning.’

Hila Klein currently serves as the CEO of a clothing brand named ‘Teddy Fresh.’ In its online shop, ‘Teddy Fresh’ sells sweaters, hoodies, windbreakers, T-shirts, shorts, bags, hats, and beanies among other things. It also sells accessories like keychains, necklaces, and embroidery patches. In October 2018, ‘Teddy Fresh’ collaborated with ‘Ripndip’ in order to sell its products in a physical store. Hila and Ethan also have a merchandise store, which sells T-shirts, mugs, and sweaters. In September 2018, they came up with a mobile game titled ‘H3H3: Ball Rider,’ which is now available on ‘App Store’ and ‘Google Play.’

Hila married Ethan Klein in 2012 in Israel. In April 2015, she moved to the United States of America along with her husband. In September 2017, Hila joined hands with many other popular YouTubers and raised more than $200,000 to help ‘Direct Relief’ in its relief efforts after ‘Hurricane Harvey.’ She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her husband and pet dog.
