Hunter Summerall gained popularity on the internet alongside his brothers who have been active in the entertainment industry since they were young. His older brother Jimmy appeared in the 2008 film Adventures in Appletown, while his younger brother Dylan debuted with the 2012 Christmas family drama Angels Sing and his youngest brother Hayden started to upload song covers on YouTube in 2014.

Hunter Summerall has been active on Instagram since February 2014, when he shared a couple pictures from his first trip to the Wisdom Tree behind the Hollywood sign. He continued to post pictures with his brothers and friends while visiting various scenic locations. He also posted pictures with Noah Cyrus, younger sister of Miley Cyrus, often from her concerts, and later featured her on the second video, Blindfold Makeup Challenge, on his YouTube channel in August 2015.

In November 2016, he joined Twitter which quickly became his favorite platform as he loved to send funny content back and forth between friends. He was also active on TikTok for a while. However, he has been most active on Instagram, where he continues to post regularly even though he has deleted all his YouTube videos and is no more active on TikTok or Twitter.

Hunter Summerall, who released his first collection of poems at the age of twenty, told Famous Birthdays in an interview that he had only started reading poems recently. He, however, was aware of some works of American poet Charles Bukowski and thinks that his content bears certain similarities to the former’s works. He further stated that he had originally started writing as a “coping mechanism”. Once, after he showed some of his writings to a friend, she was impressed by his poetry and encouraged him to write more by showing him related stuff as inspiration. He liked the idea and began writing more consistently, which culminated in him publishing his first book of poetry two years later. In November 2018, he released his 128-page poetry collection titled It's a Lonely Love from Andrews McMeel Publishing. The book is styled as entries from a journal and records the rise and fall of an ill-fated relationship, touching on themes of vulnerability, isolation and heartbreak emerging from a lost love. He hoped that his poems would help his readers feel less alone. During his interview, he expressed his desire to publish more poetry books and hopefully branch into writing novels and screenplays.

Hunter Summerall was born on September 4, 1997 in Dallas, Texas, United States to Jimmy Summerall III and his wife Tisha Summerall. He is the second of four sons of his parents and has an older brother named Jimmy Summerall IV (born on August 7, 1995) and two younger brothers named Dylan (b. March 25, 1999) and Hayden Summerall (b. April 4, 2005). All of the four siblings are active on social media. His older brother Jimmy is also an actor and model who has worked for national and international brands and manages the business side of the “Rock Your Hair" dancing and singing group.

His younger brother Dylan is an actor who has appeared on television series such as Black-ish, American Housewife and Keys. His youngest sibling Hayden is also an actor, known for the series Chicken Girls, Rainbow High and Keys, as well as a singer known for his debut single Smiles for You. The family currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where they moved to due to the brothers’ burgeoning career in the entertainment industry. While both of his parents ran a real estate business back in Texas, his father later became a film producer as the president and CEO of 6S Entertainment, LLC. Hunter described himself as “a major geek” who loves video games, comics, and anything fantasy that has elves or dragons in it.
