Ian Hecox Bio

Ian met Anthony when they were in sixth grade during a science class. The two got along well, beginning an era of friendship together. Anthony created the website Smosh.com, and both Ian and Anthony used to upload videos on their website. Their friends and supporters began sharing these videos on their own ‘My Space’ accounts, allowing several people to view these videos. Their Pokémon video became so popular that it went viral and was uploaded to a new website called ‘YouTube.’The duo was amused to read positive and encouraging comments and eventually they created their own channel ‘Smosh’, which ended up doing pretty well. Around that time the duo also converted Anthony’s bedroom into a merchandise factory and began selling T-shirts for extra income. Ian went on to take up further studies in college, but was offered a chance to be a part of YouTube’s first wave of Ad Program along with Anthony in 2005. They accepted the offer, and began making more YouTube videos and earned a substantial income from it. Six months later, Ian and Anthony dropped out of college and took up YouTube full-time. Ian has also co-produced, directed and acted in movies such as ‘Smosh-The Movie’ and ‘Ghostmates’, along with several series running on their channel. He has also voiced the character of Bubbles in ‘The Angry Birds Movie.’

Ian is as ravishing as one can be with his dark brown hair, blue eyes and pale skin. He simply fits perfectly as “Prince Charming” for all young ladies. The guy is suave and breathtakingly handsome. With his groomed looks and honest smile, he has won a huge female fan following. But apart from being good-looking, Ian is also a wonderful human being. He has stood by his best friend Anthony through his worst times and has supported him throughout his anxiety disorder phase. Not only is he a doting friend, but he is also a wonderful son and brother and takes full responsibility of his family. He is grateful for the support extended by his fans and promises to work hard to keep their aspirations and his dreams alive.

Ian Hecox is a fun loving and outgoing man. He loves food, sports and hanging out with his friends and family. He is also a dog lover and owns a German shepherd. He is the more immature of the duo and likes to take things as they come; he calls himself childish too. He loves his pink frosted sprinkled donuts a lot and can go to war (in jest) with Anthony for the same! He is afraid of bees and spiders. Ian suffers from Asthma and ADHD.

Ian was born on November 30, 1987, in California and went to regular school. He was more of an “outsider” in school until he met Anthony. Since then, Ian has always been supportive of, and a good friend to Anthony. The two studied at Del Campo High School together, and after finishing school, went on to study at American River College. Around one year into college, Ian and Anthony were offered the chance to work with YouTube, causing them to leave their education and pursue their YouTube career. Ian’s family has been highly supportive of his endeavors, especially his mother who enacts various characters in his videos.

Ian dated YouTuber Melanie Moat from 2007 to 2014. He later dated Pamela Horton.
