Ilya Fedorovich, a close friend of David Dobrik, was often invited by the latter to come to Los Angeles and try his luck at social media. However, being busy maintaining his father’s business in Chicago, he only occasionally visited his friend early on. Nevertheless, he started the YouTube channel In-Debt with his friend Dima in July 2017 and the two gained popularity on the platform for sharing comic sketches. The channel became inactive in 2019 after Dima moved to LA, following which Ilya started another YouTube channel, Take Notes, with his friend Jeff. Jeff was later replaced by Aaron Burnside a.k.a. Burny, and the channel was renamed to Down Bad Podcast.
Ilya Fedorovich’s friend David Dobrik made an appearance in one video on the channel, but the channel did not run for long. Ilya eventually moved to LA in early 2020 and started appearing regularly on Dobrik’s channel and often played the role of a crazy, drunk guy, even though he doesn’t like alcohol at all. He moved in with Dobrik’s Vlog Squad in August 2020 and later started another podcast, titled Lightweights Podcast, with fellow housemate Joe Vulpis in January12021.
Ilya Fedorovich is also active on Instagram where he has over 760K followers on Instagram. He has often credited Dobrik for quickly gaining following, and despite being more interested in business than social media, he intends to make his fans happy with his products.
Ilya Fedorovich, who had enrolled into the College of Lake County to study business, dropped out of college shortly after to support his father’s struggling business, Fly Plumbing Inc, with his “Americanized attitude”. Initially just him and his father, the company grew to 18-22 fulltime employees within two years. While he was very involved with the company for years, he eventually decided to start his own business and intends to sell the plumbing company once it grows a bit bigger. He originally moved to Los Angeles in early 2020 with the intention of establishing a creative marketing agency there. That plan fell through as he was stuck indoors at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He later decided to launch a plant-based protein business, the idea of which came from his mother as she had warned him about the news of chemicals in the diet supplement he used to have. Ilya, who is a fitness freak concerned about eating healthy, decided to partner with an acquaintance to launch his own protein supplement brand. He initially wanted to name it “Forte Active”, but he eventually established his “Xeela Fitness” brand in mid-2021 and launched his supplement and fitness line on March 29, 2022. He has big dreams about branching out to sportswear products and training videos, and has ideas for an app as well. He also wants to focus on real estate apartment syndication in the future.
Ilya Fedorovich was born on October 16, 1995 in Minsk, Belarus. His father is also from Belarus, while his mother is from Russia. The family migrated to the United States when he was only 2-3 years old and settled in Wheeling, Illinois. His father, who could not speak English back then, took 2-3 jobs simultaneously to support the family, which didn’t even have basic furniture. Nevertheless, being an only child, he was “spoiled”. He himself wants to have three kids, but not until his early thirties as he is focused on his career now. He can speak Russian fluently and went to Russia when he was eight, but he has not been to Belarus since childhood. He credited his parents for teaching him the value of hard work. He is obsessed with death and the purpose of life and spends a lot of time going through informative resources online.
