Isabella Calthorpe is a British actress, model and socialite. She is the daughter of Watermark Group’s former chairman, John Austen Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, and Lady Mary-Gaye Georgiana Lorna Curzon, who is the daughter of the sixth Earl Howe. Following her graduation from the University of Edinburgh, Calthorpe went on to study at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She began her career as a stage actress. Later, she landed roles in television show and also bagged big screen projects, such as ‘Trinity,’ ‘The Prisoner,’ and ‘How to Lose Friends & Alienate People.’ Drop dead gorgeous and talented, Calthorpe is said to be a close friend and former crush of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and was reportedly wooed by him several times before his marriage to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. The British beauty is also on good terms with many other members of the royal family. Currently, she is married to Sam Branson, the son of Virgin owner Richard Branson. The couple has two children together.

Career
After attending London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Isabella Calthorpe began her career as a stage actress. She made her television debut in 2004, appearing as Lady Jane Bellamy in the British-American-German romantic drama ‘Stage Beauty’. Two years later, she appeared in an episode of ‘The Inspector Lynley Mysteries’. In 2008, the actress featured in episodes 1 and 2 of ITV’s British medical drama ‘Harley Street’. That year, she also starred in ‘How to Lose Friends & Alienate People’ alongside Simon Pegg, Danny Huston, Kirsten Dunst, Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges and Megan Fox.
In 2009, Calthorpe joined the cast of the drama series ‘Trinity’ as Rosalind Gaudain as well as featured in two episodes of the miniseries ‘The Prisoner’. Soon after this, she did the horror flick ‘13Hrs’ which was released as ‘Night Wolf’ in USA. She next starred as Liv Scott in Ed Boase’s independent horror/thriller ‘Blooded,’ which premiered at Bradford International Film Festival on March 18, 2011. Two years later, the actress played the role of Detective Carter in the crime thriller film ‘Fedz’.

Isabella Calthorpe was born on 3 March 1980, in Winchester, Hampshire, England, to John Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, former Chairman of the Watermark Group, and Lady Mary-Gaye Georgiana Lorna Curzon. Her paternal grandfather is Sir Richard while her maternal grandfather is Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe. Calthorpe is a ninth great-granddaughter of King Charles II on both her father’s and mother’s sides. Her parents are third cousins who share Francis Horatio Fitzroy as their great-great-grandfather.
Calthorpe has two full siblings: younger brother Jacobi and elder sister Georgiana, as well as four half-siblings, including actress Gabriella Calthorpe (from her father’s second marriage) and actress Cressida Bonas (from her mother’s third marriage).
Calthorpe attended Heathfield School and Bradfield College before studying Classics and art history at University of Edinburgh. From 2003 to 2005, she studied at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Talking about her love life, she got married to Sam Branson, filmmaker and son of industrialist Sir Richard Branson, on 6 March 2013. The two got married at his father's personal safari lodge with guests including Princess Eugenie of York and Princess Beatrice of York. Calthorpe and Branson had their first child, daughter Eva-Deia Branson, in February 2015. Their second child, son Bluey Rafe Richard Branson, was born on January 18, 2017.
