Before Birth

Iyanna’s parents began dating each other in the late 1990s. Her mother, Melissa, was just 16 when she met Floyd for the first time, at the lounge of a Las Vegas casino. Floyd and Melissa began their relationship soon after their first meeting. The latter, however, already had a son named Devion Cromwell. Floyd later adopted Devion.

While Melissa was pregnant with her child with Floyd, she reportedly had a conflict with his other girlfriend, Josie. Eventually, Floyd and Melissa grew apart. However, he took the responsibility of the child.

Melissa, on the other hand, started dating someone else. After the relationship ended, Floyd got in touch with her and apologized for traumatizing her in the past. Melissa, by then, had delivered her child.

Birth

Iyanna was born on May 20, 2000, in Nevada, Las Vegas. She is one of four children of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. Iyanna has two half-brothers, Koraun and Zion, and a younger half-sister, Jirah, all born to Floyd and his former girlfriend, Josie Harris. Her other half-brother, Devion, was born to her mother, from one of her previous relationships.

Iyanna graduated high school at the age of 15 and then received a diploma certificate at the age of 18. She posted the pictures of her graduation ceremony on her 'Instagram' account.

Iyanna’s parents had an on-again, off-again relationship. After a few years of Iyanna’s birth, Floyd came back to Melissa and gave their relationship a second chance. Floyd thoroughly supported Melissa in raising Iyanna and even bought a house for her and gifted her one of his cars. In 2009, Floyd helped Melissa in setting up her boutique shop in Las Vegas. She named her business venture 'Devanna Love Boutique.' The name has parts of the names of both her children.

Unfortunately, Iyanna’s parents parted ways in 2012, and the separation was not amicable. Melissa accused Floyd of assaulting her verbally and physically on two different occasions. In one of the instances, he had allegedly hit her in front of Iyanna. Floyd was on house arrest for 2 days.

Expensive Gifts

Iyanna is known for her expensive birthday gifts. On her 18th birthday, Floyd gifted her a huge 18-carat 'Canary PRISTINE' ring worth $5 million. He even organized a star-studded birthday party for her. Previously, singers Drake and Future had performed at her 16th birthday party. Iyanna had also received a 'Mercedes' ‘550 S-Class’ and a ‘G-Class’ on her 14th birthday, and Justin Bieber had performed at her 14th birthday party.

Career

In October 2018, she released the music video of her song 'Oh Okay Remix' on 'YouTube.' However, the video and her rapping style received mixed reviews. She is quite active on various social-media platforms. Her 'Instagram' posts have earned her over 762 thousand followers. While this is an impressive figure, the number of her 'Twitter' followers is nowhere close to that of her fan base on 'Instagram.' Iyanna has a little over 27 thousand followers on 'Twitter.' She also owns a 'YouTube' channel, where she has posted only two videos to date.
