Jaime Margaret Winstone was born on May 6, 1985, in Camden, London, England, to Ray Winstone and Elaine McCausland. She was raised in Enfield, North London, where she attended ‘Enfield County School.’
She started attending ‘Burnt Mill School’ in Harlow after moving with her family to Roydon, Essex. She later went to ‘Harlow College’ to pursue a ‘BTEC National Diploma’ in ‘Performing Arts.’ However, she dropped out to pursue a career in acting.

Career
Jaime Winstone made her acting debut in the 2004 British drama film ‘Bullet Boy.’ Directed by Saul Dibb, the film premiered at the ‘Toronto International Film Festival’ and went on to win several prestigious awards.
She made her television debut in 2005, when she played Hannah in one of the episodes of ‘ITV’ network’s police procedural drama series ‘Murder Investigation Team.’ In the same year, she was also seen in a short film titled ‘Love Letter.’
Winstone received her breakthrough in the 2006 Menhaj Huda-directed drama film ‘Kidulthood.’ Winstone’s popularity increased after the film’s release as ‘Kidulthood’ became a critical and commercial success.
In 2006, she played Nina in a film titled ‘Daddy's Girl’ and then appeared in television series such as ‘Totally Frank’ and ‘Vincent.’ In the same year, she became part of the main cast of an eight-part drama series titled ‘Goldplated’ in which she played Lauren White.
In 2008, she played the lead role of Kelly Povell in the popular horror TV series ‘Dead Set.’ Directed by the famous French director Yann Demange, the series received critical acclaim and was nominated at ‘British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ (BAFTA) for ‘Best Drama Serial.’ In the same year, she also played an important role in the Olly Blackburn-directed horror thriller film ‘Donkey Punch.’
Winstone played Elaine in the 2009 black comedy film ‘Boogie Woogie’ and then played Rachel in the Jack Davies-directed film ‘Eve.’ In 2010, she starred in a mini-series titled ‘Five Daughters.’ In the same year, she played Sheila Webb in the mystery drama television series ‘Agatha Christie's Poirot’ and also played Sandra in the Nigel Cole-directed film ‘Made in Dagenham.’ The film received positive response from the critics and was nominated for various awards.
In 2011, she was seen in a couple of films, including ‘Anuvahood’ and ‘Wild Bill.’ The following year, she played Stella in the semi-improvised ‘BBC’ television drama ‘True Love.’ In 2012, she also played the title role in the Ryan Andrews-directed British horror film ‘Elfie Hopkins.’
Winstone played Mercedes in a psychological thriller television series titled ‘Mad Dogs’ in 2013. In the same year, she was also seen in films such as ‘U Want Me 2 Kill Him’ and ‘Powder Room.’ She played the lead role of Chanel in the latter. In 2014, she played Ruby in the romantic comedy-drama film ‘Love, Rosie’ and then narrated six episodes of a television series titled ‘Don't Drop the Baby.’
In 2015, she was seen in three television series, including ‘Cockroaches,’ ‘Foyle's War,’ and ‘After Hours.’ While Winstone played minor roles in ‘Cockroaches’ and ‘Foyle's War,’ she landed the leading role of Lauren in the comedy-drama series ‘After Hours.’ In 2016, she played Nicole in a television movie titled ‘Ellen.’

She has two sisters, namely Lois Elaine Winstone and Ellie. Lois is a musician and actress. She is part of a band for which her sister Jaime lends her voice as a backing vocalist. Lois has also modeled for ‘Ann Summers’ as part of the retailer company’s ‘Spring Summer 2009’ lingerie collection.
