Jenna Boyd is an American actress and model best known for her portrayal of Dot Gilkeson in Ron Howard's western-thriller film ‘The Missing’. A native of Bedford, Texas, she started her career at the early age of two after her mother entered her in a model search where she impressed an agent with her beauty and enthusiasm. After being featured in many commercials and print ads, she was cast in the children's TV show ‘Barney & Friends’ when she was just three. Her family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, due to her father’s work commitments before moving to Los Angeles, California in order to pursue her acting career. After making a small appearance in ‘The Geena Davis Show’ in 2001, she performed in many television series and movies. Her notable film credits include ‘The Hunted’, ‘The Missing’ and ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’. In addition to acting, she is also an award-winning figure skater and even invented a skating move. The multi-talented lady is a certified Pilates trainer and a skin consultant for ‘Rodan + Fields’ as well. She is an animal lover and has a dog.

Jenna Boyd started her modeling career at the age of two and her acting career when she was just three years old. She first appeared in several print ads and TV commercials before landing a role in the children's TV show ‘Barney & Friends’. In 2001, she made a guest appearance on ‘The Geena Davis Show,’ followed by making appearances in the television series ‘Titus’ (2001), ‘Just Shoot Me!’ (2001), ‘Special Unit 2’ (2002), ‘Six Feet Under’ (2002), and ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ (2002). Her portrayal of Felice Wallace in the 2002 TV movie ‘Mary Christmas’ earned her a ‘Young Artist Award’ nomination, her first one.
Her first big-budget film appearance was in the movie ‘The Hunted’ in 2003. She then made an appearance in ‘Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star’ (2003) before portraying the lead role of Dot Gilkeson in the western-thriller film ‘The Missing’ in the same year, for which she won immense appreciation and a ‘Young Artist Award’. After appearing in the TV show ‘Carnivàle’, she portrayed the role of the leukemia-stricken Bailey Graffman in ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ in 2005. In 2007, she appeared in the Lifetime miniseries ‘The Gathering’ and in an episode of ‘Ghost Whisperer’. She then appeared in the show ‘Criminal Minds’ before acting in movies like ‘Complicity’ (2012), ‘Last Ounce of Courage’ (2012) and ‘Runaway’ (2014). Jenna Boyd was born on March 4, 1993, in Bedford, Texas, to Mike Minnow Boyd and Deborah Lyn Cade. She has a younger brother named Cayden Boyd, who is also an actor. She has a striking facial resemblance with her mother. At the age of five, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, with her family due to her father’s job. There, she landed an agent who advised them to move to Los Angeles for an acting audition, which ultimately opened the doors of the show business for her.
She attended village Christian schools before graduating from Pepperdine University in 2015, with a major in business administration and a minor in sports medicine. She was a straight ‘A’ student.
She has also been a competitive USFSA figure skater for thirteen years, and normally practices early in the morning. Her skills and determination have earned her several gold medals.
She is a devoted Christian and loves to attend church and religious festivals. She loves playing the guitar, making home-made perfumes, horseback riding, running a spy club with her friends, and spending time with her brother. She has a pet dog named Hayden. In 2019, as part of the Tulsa Remote program, she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
