Jenny Taft is an American sports television personality, who moderates the sports talk show 'Skip and Shannon: Undisputed' on Fox Sports 1. Born into a family of sportspeople, Taft’s love for the sporting world was cultivated at a young age. She also competed at various levels in school and college but decided that she wanted to become a broadcaster. After graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University, Taft embarked her career with Fox Sports North as a sideline reporter and regional affiliate. Apart from covering sports, she also worked as a social media contributor and filled in as a host for many games. She was soon bumped to work for Fox Sports 1 (FS1) as part of their News and Highlights team. Under FS1, Taft covered many reputed championships and reported them from the ground. Concurrently, she worked as a college football sideline reporter and soon was made the lead for college football reporting alongside Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt. Her claim to fame arrived when she was asked to step in as the moderator for the popular TV series ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed’ in 2018, a position she continues to hold today. More recently, she was seen hosting her own show ‘CFB: Inside Slant’ and as the pit reporter for the Discovery series ‘Battlebots’.

Career
After graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 2010, Jenny Taft dived into the world of sports journalism immediately. She began her journey with Fox Sports North (FSN) as a sideline reporter and regional affiliate for Minnesota Lynx. While doing an assortment of assignments for FSN, Taft also worked as a social media contributor for several sports teams, including Minnesota’s Timberwolves, Twins, and Wild. She also regularly worked as a fill-in host for Twins and Wild games. Soon enough, Taft’s natural talent for sports coverage earned her a promotion in August 2013. She was asked to join Fox Sports 1 as part of the News and Highlights update team.
While working here, she also reported on the 2013 Supercross event, which marked her debut assignment for FS1. With FS1, she had many more impressive reporting stints to her portfolio. At the same time, she delved into college football reporting in 2014. This expanded FS1’s scope and coverage. She ended 2014 by covering the U.S. Women’s National Team during the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship. Next year, she covered the U.S. Women national soccer team’s journey at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup as well. Taft was again promoted in 2017 when she was named the lead for college football reporting alongside the popular commentator Gus Johnson and analyst Joel Klatt. With a diverse range of assignments, Taft’s presence at Fox Sports 1 increased and she became a popular figure. By the end of 2017, she was also covering the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), and the ever-popular Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Since 2018, Taft has been seen in more prominent roles as a fill-in host and moderator on several FS1 programs. It was soon announced that she was the successor to Joy Taylor as the moderator of the American sports talk show ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed’, which is hosted by Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. In one of her biggest career highlights, Taft was asked to host a weekly college football show titled ‘CFB: Inside Slant’ in September 2018. The program aimed at taking their viewers beyond the playground to offer a look inside the world of the players and newsmakers. With a diverse array of roles, Taft continues to balance them all and still works in all the positions. More recently, she was seen in several episodes of ‘Battlebots’, the action game show, as the pit reporter for Discovery. Despite a busy schedule and packed day, Taft takes out the time to talk to her fans through social media. She is quite popular on Instagram.

Family & Personal Life
Jennifer Lind Taft was born on 5 September, 1987 in Edina Minnesota to John and Mary Taft. Her father, John Taft, is a former professional ice hockey player who represented his country at the Winter Olympics. It was only natural that Taft grew to love sports as a child. She has a younger brother, Charlie, who is also a college-level hockey player. She graduated from Edina High School and was a constant fixture in the sports teams. At University, she played lacrosse. She is currently married to Matt Gilroy, who is also a professional ice hockey player. The couple is rumored to have met each other in University, where Matt was a star hockey player. They continue to remain happily married to each other even today and are very supportive of each other’s careers. They currently live in Minnesota.
