Jessie Paege Bio

Jessie Paege was just 14 years old when she started her YouTube channel. A shy girl in school, she used to suffer from terrible social anxiety. Being a YouTube fan-girl, she went to a Bethany Mota Meet and Greet where she learnt that the famous YouTuber was also very shy initially and that YouTube helped her come out of her comfort zone. She soon decided to give YouTube a try to see if she can make a difference in other people's lives from within her room and with the help of a camera. Interestingly, being in front of the camera instead of being with people, made her more comfortable and she started to enjoy the fact that she can communicate with people without meeting them in person. Even though she had a slow start on YouTube, she has already gained 1.57 million subscribers.

Jessie Paege makes conscious efforts to make her content stand out on YouTube where a lot of people are posting videos on similar content. She always tries to take common concepts and give them an original twist. For instance, while YouTube is crowded with DIY Clothes videos, she made videos on DIY Band Clothes, which is unique. Apart from posting fashion, DIY, and band-inspired lifestyle videos, she often talks about topics that she can relate to. As someone who considers herself to be awkward, she doesn't shy away from including her experiences in her videos in an attempt to make other people like her more comfortable about themselves. It is probably her journey from a shy and insecure girl to a YouTube star that makes Jessie Paege so special. Her tenacious nature is an inspiration to a number of teenagers who consider themselves socially awkward.

Although she is now one of the most successful YouTubers, Jessie Paege had decided to even delete her YouTube account multiple times. For an introvert like her, it was very difficult to put herself on the internet. With hardly any subscribers, the initial days were not very encouraging for her on YouTube, and she didn't tell her friends about her channel. Later, when her friends found out about her YouTube channel, some of her close friends even made fun of her for being on YouTube. Many times she felt so terrible that she considered deleting her YouTube account. However, by that point she had developed an interest in what she was doing. As a result, she decided not to let other people's opinions shape her life and continued on with her channel. In November 2016, she posted a video on her YouTube channel titled An Important Message - by Jessie Paege in which she reminded people, who at some point tried to bring negativity into her life, that she is now stronger and enjoying her success.

Born on March 12, 1999, Jessie Paege is a native of New Jersey where she lives with her parents and her brother Matt. Her father and her grandparents are not well aware of social media and do not understand the kind of work she does. Her mother, on the other hand, helps her constantly on her projects and sometimes appears on her videos. She has played the electric guitar for years now, but is still not very comfortable performing for an audience. However, during the Girls Night In tour, she was able to overcome her stage fear to some extent and performed solo on her guitar. Despite her awkwardness with strangers, she is very comfortable around a few good friends. While filming her videos, she imagines as if she is with her best friends and tries to bring out in her videos her "crazy" side that her close friends experience.

Once, she had to bribe her brother with pizza and game stuff to make him appear in her video.
