Born In: United States
Joan Celia Lee is an American actress, writer and producer, who is best known for being the daughter of the legendary comic book writer, publisher and producer, Stan Lee. Joan grew up in a creative environment and learned a lot from her parents, who encouraged her to express herself as artistically as she fancied. After trying her hands at painting, fashion designing and comic book layout creation, she decided to become an actress. She started her career with minor film and TV roles, and went on to become the voice behind several animation characters. She then joined the ‘Marvel Studio’ to learn all about comics from her father. The lessons she got from him were not just limited to business, but also extended to life in general. It was Stan who instilled the "never stop" attitude in Joan. She reciprocated her parents’ affection by penning down their love story in her first book. At present, the former actress is looking after the legacy of her father and running a website, dedicated to his life and comic characters.
