Joan Lunden Biography

Joan Lunden, born as Joan Elise Blunden, is an American journalist and television host. As of 2014, she was a special correspondent for NBC's news and talk program ‘Today’. She has also served in the network ABC in the past when she was the co-host of ‘Good Morning America’. In addition, she is known for hosting the A&E cable network program ‘Biography’ and ‘Behind Closed Doors’ as well as the lifetime series ‘Health Corner’. She is also a writer and has authored numerous books including ‘Joan Lunden's Healthy Living ', 'Mother's Minutes', 'Your Newborn Baby' and 'Joan Lunden's Healthy Cooking '. Talking about her awards and honors, Lunden has received many accolades till date, including the National Women's Political Caucus Award, Spirit of Achievement Award from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New Jersey Division of Civil Rights Award, YWCA Outstanding Woman's Award, Matrix Award from The New York Association for Women in Communications and Baylor University Outstanding Woman of the Year award. Also, National Mother's Day Committee honoured her with the title "Mother of the Year" for her dedication to motherhood. The American journalist earned the WWE's second annual Warrior Award in 2016.
