Joe Estevez is an American actor, producer, and director. He is known for appearing in the films ‘Soultaker,’ ‘The Roller Blade Seven,’ ‘Dark Universe,’ and ‘No Code of Conduct,’ and for his roles in the drama series ‘Decker’ and ‘On Cinema.’ Born to a Spanish father and an Irish mother, Estevez grew up alongside his elder brother, actor Martin Sheen, and several other siblings. Following his graduation from a Catholic high school, he served in the United States army before starting his acting career in the early 1970s. Even though he has appeared in a few big-budget movies, he is more prominently seen in low-budget independent films and B-movies. His deep voice is considered his unique feature and he has worked as a voice-over artist as well.

Career
Joe Estevez first appeared on television in 1974 when he was cast in the TV movie ‘The California Kid’. In 1979, he featured in an episode of ‘Eischied’. That year, he also lent his voice to Captain Benjamin L. Willard’s character in the epic war film ‘Apocalypse Now’. This was followed by his guest roles in ‘Starman’ and ‘CBS Schoolbreak Special’. In 1990, the actor played the titular character in ‘Soultaker’, a fantasy horror flick that follows a group that struggles to escape from the 'Soultaker' when their souls are cast out of their bodies after a road accident. The following year, he was cast as Saint O'ffender in the martial arts movie ‘The Roller Blade Seven’. In 1992, he reprised the role in the film’s sequel ‘The Roller Blade Seven’.
In 2000, Joe Estevez starred as Father/Umpire in the horror film ‘The Catcher,’ alongside David Heavener and Monique Parent. Four years later, he played the role of Mr. Big Shot in ‘Vampire Blvd.’, a story of two Hollywood Private Investigators who help a novice actress from Hong Kong who gets tracked down by vampires. The actor then directed as well as starred in the 2010 film ‘Horrorween’. A year later, he appeared as Sterns in the comedy film ‘Not Another B Movie’.
From 2013, Estevez has been starring in the comedic film review podcast cum web series ‘On Cinema’ along with Gregg Turkington and Tim Heidecker. He has also been playing the role of President Jason Davidson in the Adult Swim series ‘Decker’ since 2014. In 2016, he featured in the web series ‘Day 5’ as Alonzo Alvarez.

Joe Estevez was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 13, 1946, to Francisco Estévez and Mary Anne. He has nine siblings including actor Martin Sheen who is older than him. He studied at the catholic school Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton.
Joe Estevez is the brother-in-law of actress/producer Janet Sheen and the uncle of actors Charlie Sheen, Ramon Estevez, Emilio Estevez and Renée Estevez.
In 1978, the actor married Shirley Monkman and had three daughters: Angela, Casey and Amanda. Following his divorce from Monkman, he married actress Constance Anderson in 2004.
