Joseph John Lando is an American actor, best known for portraying ‘Byron Sully’ in the American western TV drama series ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.’ He made his acting debut with the bit role of a patrolman in the American science-fiction film ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.’ He drew the attention of casting directors with his portrayal of ‘Jake Harrison’ in the American soap opera ‘One Life to Live.’ This paved his way to the role of a rugged outdoorsman, ‘Byron Sully,’ who was also the love interest of ‘Michaela Quinn’ (played by Jane Seymour), in the Western drama series ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.’ He later reprised the role in the spin-off series, ‘California’; in the movies ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman: The Movie’ and ‘Dr. Quinn: The Heart Within’; and in the short parody ‘Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman.’ He also appeared in series such as ‘Guiding Light’, ‘Summerland,’ ‘The Secret Circle,’ and ‘Higher Ground,’ also serving as an executive producer in the last one. Over the years, Lando has also been featured in TV films such as ‘Killer Flood: The Day the Dam Broke’ and ‘Alien Nation: The Enemy Within’ and in many big-screen flicks, such as ‘Shadows of Desire,’ ‘Seeds of Doubt,’ ‘No Code of Conduct,’ and ‘Meteor Apocalypse.’
