Josh Peck Biography

Josh used to perform at the ‘TADA’ New York based, children’s musical theatre. When he was 9, he took a fancy to stand-up comedy and began performing at ‘Caroline’s Comedy Club’ for the ‘Audrey Hepburn Foundation’. An agent saw his performance and offered him a role in ‘The Amanda Show’ that aired on Nickelodeon. This was his first break, he was thirteen when he began his sitcom career. In 2000, he acted in the film ‘Snow Day’ as Wayne Alworth. He continued to work in the industry, guest starring in several shows. But in 2004, Nickelodeon offered another him another sitcom called ‘Drake & Josh’, for which he went on to win an award for ‘Favorite Television Actor’ at the ‘Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards’. In 2006, for the first time, Blue Sky Studios cast him as a voice actor, in the movie ‘Ice Age’ as ‘Eddie’, he became a part of all sequels of the movie henceforth. He also went on to play roles in ‘The Wackness’, ‘American Primitive’ and ‘Safety Glass’. With age he became a better performer and 2012, witnessed him starring in Red Dawn. In 2015, he once again took television by storm in the comedy series ‘Grandfathered’, and was nominated in the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for ‘Favorite Actor in a New TV Series’.

Needless to emphasize, Josh is indisputably one of America’s most handsome actors. He is tall and lean, and has a boyish charm to his chiseled looks. He has stolen several hearts with his endearing blue eyes. Josh used to weigh a lot, but cut down on his extra weight for better health. He seeks to inspire many other teenagers battling with overweight, by alternative means of working diligently on a healthy diet and regular excise, without any requirement for surgery. However, he has always accentuated that a person’s kindness outshines their appearance.

As a child he loved playing ice hockey when not studying or performing. He loves staying fit as it keeps him happy and healthy, hence he hits the gym regularly. Josh is a pianist, he listens to soulful music, and claims that it replenishes him. He suffers from asthma, hence as a child he couldn’t venture out too frequently and took a liking to old sitcoms. He continues to watch those sitcoms even today, whenever he can spare time. Even though he is a workaholic, he adjusts his schedule to spend time with family and friends.

He was born to Barbara, in New York City on November 10, 1986. Since his mother is Jewish, he was brought up with traditional Jewish customs. His parents weren’t married when he was conceived. Thus, he never got to see his father, on the other hand, he was raised by his mother and grandmother. He respects and adores his mother as she has always supported him, especially his decision to drop out of school and pursue his career. Josh doesn’t have any siblings, but he has two pets, a fish called Beefy and a dog named Monster. Since he had been performing as a child at musical theatres and comedy clubs, acting came naturally to him. He steadily gained access into the television and film industry with his determination and talent.

On the sets of ‘Drake & Josh’ he was rumored to be romantically involved with his co-star, Allison Scagliotti. She played his girlfriend on the show and the duo eventually began dating. But their fling didn’t last long and the couple broke up, leaving many fans disappointed. He started dating Instagram star Paige O’Brien, and married her June 2017. In December 2018, the couple welcomed a son, named Max Milo. In June 2022, Josh Peck and Paige O'Brien announced that they were expecting their second child together. Their second child named Shai was born in October 2022.
