Juice WRLD was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He shot to fame with his songs like ‘All Girls Are the Same’ and ‘Lucid Dreams.’ Born in a conservative family, Juice was not allowed to listen to hip-hop music during his childhood days. He listened to rock music played on video games, and got interested in it. He learned to play the piano, which was followed by guitar, and trumpet classes. During his sophomore year in high school, Juice started rapping, too. Initially, Juice released his music tracks using the internet music streaming platform ‘Soundcloud.’ He used the name ‘JuicetheKidd’ for his initial recordings. Later, he adopted the name ‘Juice WRLD’ to give it a global appeal. Juice signed with the ‘Internet Money’ collective in the early stages of his career. His debut mixtape, ‘999,’ was a big success. The single ‘Lucid Dreams’ was the first of his songs to enter the ‘Billboard’ chart. 'Goodbye & Good Riddance’ was the first studio album released by Juice. His song ‘No Bystanders’ reached the number 31 spot on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ He died in mysterious circumstances on December 8, 2019, at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.

Childhood & Early Life
Juice WRLD was born Jarad Higgins, on December 2, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Homewood, Illinois. Juice’s parents divorced when he was three years old. He grew up with his mother. He has an elder brother.
Juice attended the ‘Homewood-Flossmoor High School’ for his early education. As his mother was very religious and conservative, Juice was not allowed to listen to hip-hop music. His first exposure to rock music was through video games like ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ and ‘Guitar Hero.’ At the age of 4, Juice learned to play the piano. Later, he took guitar and drums lessons, too. He also played trumpet for his band class. As a teenager, Juice was addicted to drugs. He also smoked cigarettes. Later, his deteriorating health forced him to quit these habits.

Career
Juice WRLD developed interest in rock and pop music after listening to bands such as ‘Black Sabbath,’ ‘Blink 182,’ and ‘Panic at the Disco.’ During his freshman year at high school, he started polishing his musical talent. When Juice was in his sophomore year, he began considering rap music as a career option.
In 2015, Juice WRLD released his first track, ‘Forever,’ on ‘Soundcloud.’ He used the name, ‘JuicetheKidd’ for his initial tracks. These tracks were recorded on his mobile phone. Later, Juice changed his stage name to ‘Juice WRLD.’ It was a tribute to late American rapper Tupac Shakur. Juice felt that ‘WRLD’ represented taking over the world. In January 2016, Juice released his first project, ‘Juiced Up The EP.’ It contained singles such as ‘Too Smooth,’ and ‘Runnaway Freestyle.’
In 2017, Juice released the track ‘Too Much Cash.’ He joined the internet collective ‘Internet Money.’ On June 15, 2017, Juice released his first full-length EP, ‘999.’ It featured his song ‘Lucid Dreams,’ which had more than 2.5 million plays on ‘Soundcloud.’
In December 2017, Juice released a three-song EP ‘Nothings Different.’ It featured hip-hop songs, such as ‘All Girls are the Same’ and ‘Lyrical Lemonade.’ 'All Girls are the Same’ was a highly popular track and was very well received by critics and admirers. It was designated as the ‘Best New Music’ by the ‘Pitchfork.’ The song entered the ‘Billboard’ chart and debuted at number 92, on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ Following the success of these songs, Juice signed with the music company ‘Interscope Records’ for $3,000,000.
His song ’Lucid Dreams’ debuted at number 74, on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ In May 2018, he released ‘Lucid Dreams’ as a single. It reached the number 3 spot on the ‘Billboard’ chart, and became one of the most streamed songs of 2018.
In May 2018, Juice released his first studio album, ‘Goodbye & Good Riddance.’ In June 2018, he released a two-song EP ‘Too Soon.’ It was dedicated to the late rappers Lil Peep, and XXXTentacion. The song ‘Legends’ from the EP became highly popular and debuted at number 65 on the ‘Billboard’ chart.
In July 2018, Juice WRLD released his single ‘Wasted.’ It debuted at number 67 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ In the same month, he announced his first tour, ‘WRLD Domination.’ In August 2018, he made his TV debut, on the late night talk show ‘Jimmy Kennel Live!’ Juice performed the song ‘Lucid Dreams’ on the show.

Juice WRLD died on December 8, 2019, after a medical emergency at Chicago’s Midway International Airport. The exact cause of his death was not revealed by authorities.
Juice WRLD was not married. He was in a relationship with Alexa. Juice lived with Alexa in Los Angeles. In June 2018, he met with an accident while riding his motorcycle, but was not seriously injured.
