Julia Kelly is an American actress and social media star, best known for appearing in the fifth season of MTV2’s ‘Guy Code.’ After making her film debut in the 2013 James Chankin-directed science-fiction film ‘The Mark: Redemption,’ Kelly went on to appear in several TV series, such as ‘Freakish,’ ‘The Deleted,’ and ‘In the Vault.’ In 2014, she was featured in a ‘New York Times Magazine’ article, in which she was named as ‘The Next Rising Star.’ Kelly attributes her success to the time spent on social media platforms, such as Vine where she began her journey towards stardom. On the photo-sharing site Instagram, she has more than two million followers.

Julia Kelly was born on June 17, 1994, in Portland, Oregon, USA. She is of mixed ethnicity (French, Irish, American Indian, and Korean roots). When she was a kid, Kelly and her family moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she was raised along with her four siblings. She developed passion for acting at a young age. In order to support her dream of becoming an actress, Kelly and her family moved to Los Angeles, California. Soon, she started gaining prominence as a Vine star, and became popular for her fitness and friendship-related videos. Thanks to her popularity on Vine, Kelly landed her first acting role in 2013.

Julia Kelly got her acting break in 2013, when she was cast to play Young Dao in a film titled ‘The Mark: Redemption.’ In the same year, she was also seen in one of the episodes of a TV series titled ‘JustKiddingFilms.’ After appearing in MTV2’s comedy series ‘Not Exactly News,’ in 2015, Kelly landed her first recurring role in 2016, when she was cast to play Taylor in a horror-science-fiction television series titled ‘Freakish.’ In the same year, she landed another recurring role in the thriller series ‘The Deleted’ in which she played Sophie. In 2017, she was seen in a short-comedy TV series titled ‘UCB Comedy Originals.’ In the same year, she played Valentina Velez in the drama TV series ‘In the Vault.’ In 2019, she was cast to play Jordan in William Bindley-directed comedy film ‘The Last Summer.’ In the same year, she was also cast to play Lily in a film titled ‘Loves Me, Loves Me Not.’
Apart from being an actress, Kelly is also a social media influencer. She has a strong fan base across various social media platforms, such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Her Twitter account, which she created on January 4, 2012, has more than 270,000 followers. Though she is not active on YouTube, her self-titled channel, which was created on April 4, 2014, has over 35,000 subscribers.
