Juliana Harkavy is an American actress who is popular for her roles in ‘Dolphin Tale’, ‘To Write Love on Her Arms’ and ‘The Walking Dead’. She is currently playing the role of ‘Dinah Drake’ aka ‘Black Canary’ in the action, crime television series ‘Arrow’. She has appeared in several television shows after making her debut back in 2010. Her television appearances include ‘Big Mike’ where she portrayed ‘Janette Ogilvy’ and ‘Graceland’ in which she played ‘Alex’. Apart from her popular role in ‘Dolphin Tale’, she has also starred in hit films like ‘Whatever Lola Wants’, ‘House of Bodies’ and the horror film ‘Last Shift’. She was nominated for ‘Best Actress Award at UM Canes film festival’ for her role in ‘Whatever Lola Wants’. Apart from acting, she is a talented musician and plays the piano, the guitar, and the flute. An avid animal lover, she is passionately involved in rescue activities along with her husband.

Career
Juliana Harkavy started her career at the age of ten when she appeared in a commercial for the Fox Kids series ‘Goosebumps’ which was an adaptation of the popular horror-book series of the same title. Later the same year she was cast in Alfonso Cuarón’s ‘A Little Princess’. Her role was not credited in this major motion picture but it was her debut in the film industry. She also appeared in films like ‘Flushed’ as ‘Groupie’ in 2005, in ‘Love is Blind’ as ‘Crystal’ in 2006 and in ‘My Super Ex-Girlfriend’ as a passerby in 2006.
In 2010 she appeared in the movie ‘Whatever Lola Wants’ as the title character and was nominated for the ‘Best Actress Award’ at ‘UM Canes Film Festival’. The same year she appeared on television as ‘Amy’ in ‘The Glades’ and the subsequent year she played the character of ‘Janette Ogilvy’ in the television movie ‘Big Mike’.
Between 2011 and 2015, Juliana did many small roles in films and television shows including ‘If You Only Knew’, ‘A Feeling from Within’, ‘Finding Joy’, ‘House of Bodies’ ‘Marriage Material’, ‘Graceland’ ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Constantine’. Besides mostly doing small roles, she played some important characters too.
She portrayed the character of ‘Rebecca’ in the movie ‘Dolphin Tale’ and also appeared in the sequel of the movie playing the same role. In 2014, she appeared in the psychological horror film ‘Last Shift’, directed by Anthony DiBlasi. She has also been playing the role of ‘Dinah Drake’ aka ‘Black Canary’ in the popular action-adventure series ‘Arrow’ since 2017.

Juliana Jay Harkavy was born on January 1, 1985, in New York, the United States to Berta Carela and Michael Harkavy. Her father is the former Senior Vice president of Warner Bros., also held the same position at Kids' WB Music and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
She went to the Young Actors Space in Sherman Oaks, California and trained there for over nine years. She also went to the ‘Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles’, where she learned French. Later she earned her high school diploma from the ‘Milken Community High School’ in Los Angeles, California and graduated with a major in theater from the ‘Tisch School of the Arts’ at New York University.
Juliana is a multitalented person who is very good at playing different musical instruments including the piano, the guitar, and the flute. In 2014, Juliana married Peter Kupchick and is living a happy life in the US.
