Kacy Catanzaro is an American professional obstacle course athlete and former NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) gymnast. She is the first woman athlete to qualify for the finals of American sports entertainment competition ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and by far the only woman to successfully finish a city finals course. Her performance in the competition earned her the nickname ‘Mighty Kacy’. Apart from this she has participated in professional gymnastics during her college days. Kacy Catanzaro has also showcased her talent in the Japanese competition ‘SASUKE 32’. As part of her career, she has co-hosted television series named ‘Team Ninja Warrior College Madness’. She is also the managing partner of obstacle course gymnasium ‘Alpha Warrior’. In 2017, she signed with the WWE.

An athlete by passion, Kacy Catanzaro began training for gymnastics from a very young age. Athletics earned her scholarships for her school as well as college education. While studying at the Towson University in Maryland, she took part in various collegiate competitions like the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in 2012. That year she earned the title of ‘Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year’ and ‘Eastern College Athletic Conference Gymnast of the Year’.
From the beginning of 2013, she has been associated with obstacle course gymnasium ‘Alpha Warrior’, a brand of which she is now a managing partner. Kacy Catanzaro spent years preparing herself for the television sports challenge ‘American Ninja Warrior’. In 2013, however, she failed to qualify and though entered as a wild card entry, got eliminated during the course. In 2014, she became the first women to successfully finish the qualifying round of American Ninja Warrior (in Season 6). She also became the first woman to complete climbing up the warped wall in the competition. She went on to compete in the Dalls finals that season. Her performance earned her much appreciation and elevated her into a social media celebrity.
In 2015, she failed to get through the Houston Qualifying round of American Ninja Warrior (Season 7). In 2016, she was extended an invitation to compete at the 32nd competition of ‘Sasuke’, which is the Japanese version of American Ninja Warrior. Her strong performance allowed her to set the record of the maximum number of rounds a female athlete has taken part in the competition. The same year she failed to qualify for the Oklahoma City Qualifying round of the American Ninja Warrior (Season 8). Despite being given the advantage of a wild card entry, she failed to successfully complete obstacles. She also competed in the Broken Skull Ranch in 2016, a competition that she failed to win. Towards the end of 2016, she co-presented the series of shows titled, ‘Team Ninja Warrior College Madness’. In the beginning of 2017, Kacy Catanzaro was spotted at a tryout session of the WWE at the WWE Performance Center at Orlando, Florida.
Kacy Catanzaro was born on January 14, 1990, in New Jersey, United States, to Andrew Catanzaro and Kathryn Catanzaro. She has two sisters, Cheryl Catanzaro and Jessica Catanzaro.
