Kaila Novak Bio

Kaila Novak was born on March 24, 2002 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, to Jan and Jeanette Novak. She is of mixed ethnicity as her father was born in Chomutov, Czech Republic, while her mother hails from London. Her mother has worked at managerial positions with companies like Goodlife Fitness and Selectpath Benefits & Financial Inc. Novak loved sports from the beginning and started playing various sports like soccer and hockey at the age of four. She even developed an interest in activities like gymnastics and dance. However, she excelled in soccer and decided to pursue it. She attended Bill Crothers Secondary School in Markham, Canada where she would practice soccer after school hours.

Kaila Novak went on to play for clubs like FC London and played in leagues like Ontario Women’s Soccer League (OWSL). In 2017, she scored 16 goals in 11 games, becoming the leading goal-scorer in OWSL. Her impressive performance earned her the opportunity to play in the OWSL regional league, where she scored 13 goals, and in the senior team despite being just 15 years old at that time. The same year, she made her national debut, representing Canada’s U17 team. She traveled to China with the team to take part in the 16th edition of the Four Nations Tournament in China.

Kaila Novak was part of the national team at the 2018 CONCACAF U-17 Championship where Canada won bronze medal. The same year, she was selected to play at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay where her team finish fourth. Novak finished her U-17 career with an impressive 11 caps and two goals. Subsequently, she was selected to play for Canada’s U-20 team. She then became one of the most important members of the women’s U-20 team at the 2020 CONCACAF U-20 Championship where she started three of Canada’s four matches. She also helped her team win their opening game against El Salvador by scoring a crucial goal. In 2020, she decided to attend University of California, Los Angeles for its competitiveness in sports and academics. She is currently an important member of the university's soccer team where she plays as a forward.

Apart from being a soccer player, Kaila Novak is also a popular social media star. She gained popularity on TikTok for posting upbeat and interesting videos on what she eats to stay fit and healthy. She also posts dance and challenge videos on her popular TikTok account has more than 850,000 fans. Novak is also active on Instagram where she posts interesting pictures pertaining to her training.

Kaila Novak is in a relationship with model and fellow social media star Olivia Ponton. She appears frequently on Ponton’s TikTok videos and the two can often be seen kissing each other. Kaila Novak is also close to her mother and features her on her TikTok videos. In December 2020, Novak and her mother were seen dancing to a song titled WAP by Cardi B. She also loves spending time with her younger sister Tai Novak. Apart from playing soccer, Kaila Novak also likes snowboarding, reading, traveling, and exploring new and interesting places with family and friends. She admires Megan Rapinoe and Cristiano Ronaldo and aspires to play professional soccer.
