Kapri Rich first appeared on YouTube on August 8, 2016, at the age of six, on the video The Making of the Rich Life - Rain or Shine?!?!?, which was the first video on her family’s vlogging channel It’s R Life. The video introduced the family of eight – two parents, five kids and a dog – to the viewers as they prepared for a photoshoot. She continued to appear in almost all videos on the family channel and also occasionally took charge of some of the vlogs herself, especially on her birthdays.

Kapri Rich finally created her own eponymous channel on January 9, 2017, but did not post anything on it until three years later on August 2, 2020, when she introduced her channel to her fans with a very short video titled Welcome to My New Channel! She was already active on TikTok by that time and had urged her TikTok fans to come to her YouTube channel prior to posting the video. From then onwards, she posted regular videos on her channel covering morning routine, room makeover, day in the life, shopping hauls, family trips, cheer events, challenge videos and more. However, she is more active on their family channel and also often features on her mother’s TikTok videos and pictures on the family Instagram account.

Kapri Rich, as well as her older sisters Evie and Brinley, have all been into gymnastics from an early age and later started cheerleading. She stated in the video Q&A *crazy questions* on May 6, 2022 that she did gymnastics “for like a really long time up until I was like five or six” before switching to cheer.

In another video on her own channel, Brinley had revealed that after the family moved to North Carolina, her mother had asked her and Evie if they wanted to continue gymnastics or try out cheer. That was when they watched videos of cheer performances and became interested in cheerleading. Kapri, on the other hand, was inspired after watching her sisters perform in their events. She started practicing cheer shortly after leaving gymnastics and has been doing it for over seven years now. She also participates in cheer competitions like her sisters and her performance in her first cheer competition was captured in a vlog on the family channel on November 13, 2018. In April 2022, she performed with the youth team for the last time and is expected to level up next year. She intends to continue cheerleading as long as she can.

Kapri Paige Rich was born on October 13, 2009 in the United States to Daniel and Kendal Rich. She is the third of five children of her parents and their youngest daughter. She has two older sisters named Evie (b. October 28, 2004) and Brinley (b. January 29, 2008), and two younger brothers named Sebastian a.k.a. Sebi (b. July 6, 2011) and Hampton (b. May 31, 2013). While the older four children are biological siblings, Hampton was adopted at an early age. Although the rest of the children are homeschooled by their mother, Hampton, who has special needs and doesn’t usually talk, had to be sent to the preschool program at the local public school.

The family also “adopted” one of their Canadian fans named Terri after meeting her at Disney World in 2018. Kapri loves animals and even wanted to be a veterinarian, although she didn’t really want to do surgery on animals. Apart from the pet dog Oaklee, the Rich family also has a pet fish named Roo, a shrimp named Sheldon and a snail which Kapri wanted to name “Slugzilla”, after the animated movie Coraline, but her mother did not agree to the name. Her favorite animal, however, is a hedgehog, and even though she wants to, she does not own one yet. She has expressed her intention to be a lawyer in the future. Her family resides in West Palm Beach, Florida.
