Katarina Deme has been involved in a relationship with Australian rapper The Kid Laroi since July 2020, when the two first met through mutual friends in Los Angeles, where the latter had relocated to from Sydney, Australia. Laroi, real name Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, became the youngest solo artist to top Australia's album charts with his debut mixtape, F*ck Love, the same month. Later in February 2021, Laroi divulged details about his relationship with her during his appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show. He revealed how he "was not in the vibe of love" when he first met her, but further added that “you can't control some of that type of stuff. It was so ironic.” The same month, Katarina made a Valentine’s Day post on her Instagram containing several pictures and videos of her and Laroi and wrote in the caption, “Happy Valentine’s baby ❤ been the best (almost) 7 months of ma life :) I love you”. Both of them celebrated their one-year anniversary with loved-up messages on Instagram in July 2021. Laroi, who has often attributed part of his success to Katarina, confirmed to Vogue Australia during his interview on March 27, 2022 that he “would love to get married to Kat one day”.
