Kathryn Morris is an American actress who is most recognized for playing Detective Lilly Rush on the CBS police procedural series ‘Cold Case’. Kathryn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but grew up in Connecticut. She was the youngest of her parents’ six children. Her father was a Bible scholar, while her mother was an insurance agent. Her parents divorced when she was six. She and her siblings lived with their father. Her family travelled the entire southern ‘Bible Belt’ as a gospel group called ‘The Morris Code’. They sang at church functions and weddings. Kathryn participated in several high school plays before landing her first acting gig in a Japanese music video. She met with an accident while driving to her first professional acting job. She still arrived on time and performed well. Her first screen appearance was for a television movie called ‘Long Road Home’, which aired in 1991. In the same year, she made her Hollywood debut by appearing in the film ‘Cool as Ice’. After that, she has made several appearances in television series and feature films. She has a production company called Hot Plate Productions. In August 2013, Kathryn and her long-term boyfriend Johnny Messner became the proud parents of twin boys, Jameson and Rocco.

Kathryn Morris made her Hollywood debut in the romantic musical comedy ‘Cool as Ice’ in 1991. In the same year, she also appeared in the television series ‘Long Road Home’. She then played supporting roles in a number of movies, which included her portrayal of a psychiatric patient in the Oscar-winning film ‘As Good as It Gets’ (1997). Steven Spielberg saw Kathryn in the 2000 film ‘The Contender’ and cast her in two successive movies ‘A.I. Artificial Intelligence’ (2001) and ‘Minority Report’ (2002). Her other notable film appearances include ‘Paycheck’ (2003), ‘Mindhunters’ (2004), ‘Resurrecting the Champ’ (2007), ‘Assassination of a Highschool President’ (2008), ‘Cougars, Inc.’ (2011), ‘The Perfect Guy’ (2015) and ‘Bone Tomahawk’ (2015). She was last seen in the American thriller film ‘You Get Me’, which was premiered on June 19, 2017, in Los Angeles Film Festival.
Apart from Hollywood movies, Kathryn has acted in many television series. Her breakthrough role was in the television series ‘Pensacola: Wings of Gold’ in 1997. Kathryn Susan Morris was born on January 28, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her father Stanley Morris was a Bible scholar and her mother Joyce Morris was an insurance agent. Kathryn was the youngest of her parents’ six children. Her family moved from Cincinnati to Connecticut when she was still a toddler. Her parents divorced when she was six, after which she and her siblings started living with their father. Kathryn and three of her siblings travelled with their father across the southern ‘Bible Belt’ as a gospel group called ‘The Morris Code’. The group sang at the church festivals and weddings.
Her interest in acting arose when she started participating in her high school’s theatre productions. She went to Northeastern Christian College for a short period before transferring to the Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2002 to 2004, Kathryn was in a relationship with Randy Hamilton. They even exchanged rings, but then broke up for unknown reasons. Kathryn has been in a long-term relationship with Johnny Messner. In August 2013, she gave birth to their twin sons, Jameson and Rocco. Kathryn Morris supports the charity ‘Toys for Tots’.
