Kelli Renee Williams is an American actress known for her roles of Lindsay Dole in the legal drama TV series ‘The Practice’ and Dr Gillian Foster in the TV series ‘Lie to Me’. She has also appeared in films such as ‘There Goes My Baby’, in an important role. Born in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of actress Shannon Wilcox. She started appearing in commercials as a child. She began her professional acting career with a guest role in an episode of the TV series ‘Beauty and the Beast’. She was next seen in the TV movie ‘The Case of the Hillside Stranglers’. Her first recurring role in a TV series came in ‘Elvis’. She appeared in her debut film ‘Zapped Again’, in a main role, in 1990. Her fame reached new heights after she started appearing in the legal drama series ‘The Practice’. The show was a huge success and earned lots of awards and nominations. Williams won a Screen Actors Guild Award and was nominated for a Satellite Award.

Kelli Williams began her career on television in 1989, with a guest role in the TV series ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The same year, she was seen in the TV film ‘The Case of the Hillside Stranglers’. In the ensuing months, she continued to play guest roles in TV shows, including ‘CBS Summer Playhouse’, ‘Island Son’, and ‘Quantum Leap’.
Her first recurring role was in the 1990 TV series ‘Elvis’ from February to May. She portrayed the role of Mattie Walker. The same year, she made her film debut in the science fiction comedy film ‘Zapped Again’. It was directed by Doug Campbell. The reviews were mostly negative. In the early 1990s, she appeared in several TV films, which included ‘Switched at Birth’ (1991), ‘For Their Own Good’ (1993), ‘Lifepod’ (1993) and ‘Voice from the Grave’ (1996). She also appeared in a few feature films, such as ‘Mr Jones’ (1993) and ‘There Goes My Baby’ (1994).
She gained popularity after her role of Lindsay Dole in the legal drama series ‘The Practice.’ The show was a hit with the audiences and was also appreciated by the critics. It won several awards and nominations, including the Emmy Award twice in 1998 and 1999, in the ‘Best Drama Series’ category. She went on to appear in TV movies such as ‘Sweetwater’ and ‘Flowers for Algernon’.

From 2012 to 2013, she had a supporting role in the drama series ‘Army Wives’. It was mostly appreciated by the critics and won several awards and nominations. Her recent works include ‘Early Release’ and ‘Christmas Solo’, both TV films, released in 2017.
