Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt Biography

Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and his twin sister were born on July 12, 2008, in Nice, France, to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Born at 6:27 p.m. local time, he is older by one minute than his twin sister, Vivienne, who was born thereafter at approximately 6:28 p.m. Knox has four other siblings: Zahara Marley, Maddox Chivan, Pax Thien, and Shiloh Nouvel. While Maddox, Zahara, and Pax Thien were adopted by his parents in 2002, 2005, and 2007, respectively, his elder biological sister, Shiloh, was born in 2006. Knox is a nephew of the actor cum producer James Haven and a grandson of Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand.

Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt got his first name from Brad Pitt's paternal grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, while his middle name, “Leon,” is taken from Jolie's great-grandfather’s name.

Knox, along with his siblings, has been mostly homeschooled since childhood. His mother, Angelina, is primarily in charge of the children’s education. He and his siblings are taking basic classes (mathematics, science, etc.) and are also learning foreign languages. In addition, they engage in plenty of physical activity and are getting trained in self-defense, soccer, and skateboarding.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ended their 2-year-marriage in September 2016. The reason cited for divorce was irreconcilable differences. In April 2019, they were declared legally single.

Knox and his twin sister Vivienne hold a unique record: their first picture was sold for $14 million, creating a record for one of the most expensive celebrity kids’ first-look pictures. The money collected was donated to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

In 2016, Knox voiced the character of Ku Ku in the animated flick ‘Kung Fu Panda 3.’

Knox is reportedly learning to fly planes. According to his mother, he still needs help with pedals and is too young to fly solo. It will take a few more years before Knox can fly solo as per FAA regulations. As of now, he has the access to planes and good instructors as well as his mother’s support to help him work hard and learn the technical aspects of flying. He is also into martial arts and was spotted wearing a martial arts uniform while entering the gym in 2021.
