Kristine Leahy is an American television host and sports reporter best known as a host on NBC's ‘American Ninja Warrior’, a sports entertainment competition that is a spin-off of the Japanese television series ‘Sasuke’ that features hundreds of competitors. She is also popular as the co-host and newswoman of Fox Sports 1's simulcast of ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd.’ Born into a family with a deep interest in sports of all kinds, young Kristine grew up admiring the likes of Michael Jordan whose career she closely followed during her school days. Though she wasn’t personally very inclined towards playing any sport herself, she realized nonetheless that she wanted to be in the midst of sportsmen forever. Thus she decided to get into sports journalism and earned her Bachelor of Science and Journalism degree from Boston University. She ventured into sports journalism while still in college and soon after graduation bagged a job with a sports radio station before moving on to work for FOX Boston. Within a decade, she established herself as a very successful sports journalist and is now currently living her dream of “being surrounded with some of the best athletes and most hard-nosed competitors in the world.”
