Laila Blue studied fitness and had originally started her career as a fitness coach. In fact, she had joined Instagram to share pictures of her workout sessions. She even offered her own “8 Week Booty Program”. However, back then she was known as Rebecca Holly and used the Instagram handle @rebecca_holly_. Following frequent requests by fans, she had also created a Facebook profile, “rebeccahollyfit”.

It was popular American YouTuber Philip DeFranco who helped her get noticed in April 2016 after he mentioned her in one of his videos. In the following months, her Instagram profile grew exponentially and lifted her to the status of an Instagram star. Even though she has since then deleted her original Instagram profile and references to her past as a fitness model, her earliest picture on her current profile is also one taken in the gym. She has not only deleted her previous profile, but also several pictures from her current profile, including some featuring her son. She now frequently posts modelling pictures in swimsuits and lingerie from prestigious brands on her current profile. She has promoted products by brands such as Oh Polly, MESHKI Swimwear, PrettyLittleThing, Zala Hair Extensions, SHEIN, Peppermayo and Beginning Boutique. She seems to share a close relationship with her dedicated fan base and often asks fans for advice on her latest hairstyle, piercing and tattoos.

During 2017, Laila Blue posted several pictures of herself at various stages of pregnancy to track the changes her body was going through. In the first such post, she wondered over how the “female body is truly such an amazing thing” and mentioned looking forward to watching her baby bump grow. Shortly before the birth of her son, a 33-weeks-pregnant Laila had made an emotional Instagram post in September 2017, talking about how pregnancy “has seriously been the most up and down experience” of her life. She described the experience as “exhausting and stressful but somehow at the same time it can feel like a pure miracle”. In a post nearly a year after giving birth to her son, she talked about her struggles with weight loss and low appetite due to depression. She further mentioned finding it hard to motivate herself to train more and maintain calories. By the time, she was no longer together with the father of her son. In another post months later, she told her concerned fans, “Guys stop asking me to smile. I’m smiling on the inside. Promise.” In her next post, she shared a picture from her trip to Hamilton Island in Whitsundays, Australia, and revealed how it helped with her mental health issues, encouraging her to move forward.

Laila Blue was born as Rebecca Holly on October 30, 1996 in Cape Town, South Africa. She grew up with an older sister and two younger brothers. While she has primarily been raised in South Africa, she moved to Sidney, Australia in 2011. Despite following a strict diet as a fitness enthusiast, she doesn’t mind occasional servings of her favourite cheat meal: pizza.

Laila Blue was in a relationship with a man named Jack White during the second half of the past decade and the two were even engaged. She gave birth to her first child, a boy named Samuel Hope Hall, at the age of 21 on November 8, 2017. However, the couple parted ways shortly after in July 2018. While she occasionally posts pictures with her son on her Instagram profile, she seems to have removed all traces of her former partner from the platform. Nevertheless, there is still one picture of her and her ex-fiancé available on the internet. A couple months ago, she posted pictures with a man who goes by the Instagram handle @jyemuzz. He also posted a picture with her from the same day with a heart emoji, to which she replied with a throwing kiss emoji.
